Can a girl have too many lipsticks?

When I go out during the day I wear a more muted, natural looking lipstick. At night I go with a brighter, redder shade. I always use lipgloss too. Do you ladies do this too, or go with a brighter shade all the time? Or, do you go with what matches your outfit?
And, can a girl have too many lipsticks?

I have seven right now but plan on getting more soon.
Do you ever reapply lipstick in public? Or do you wait to do that in the ladies room?
If you never go out then tell us what you think you would do if you did.

I have three different shades -- not enough, and change them according to hair color and accessories and darker if at night and yes I do re-apply in public if I have just made a mess eating or smugged it up or somethind but try to be very descreet, I use the ladies room if possible......Debra

I'd probably avoid any makeup whatsoever.

No, a girl cannot have too many lipsticks, unless she has so many that she never uses all of them and they dry out.
So use them!

I tend to wear the same color for the full day. Now the thing with me is, I may wear a classic lipstick, or a gloss or, now, those new lip stains. My gloss and stain are neutral; that is, they are close to my lip color (actually they give me a little color for which I lack. I wear the gloss or stain when I'm less formal. Again, if the occasion is less formal, the odds are good I'll have a drink which tends to remove ,y lip stick anyway. It's pointless to reapply lip stick after every sip so having it to start for all to see when I enter then gone by the end of the occasion is just fine by me. As for the classic lip stick, I tend to wear the 'dressier colors and they are just a darker shade of my own lips. The brights don't look good on me so I have the darker plum shades.

All day, everyday, my lipstick is "Bronze" while I love pillar box Red, it is a bit too much for me.

I have one lipstick that is the same colour as my lips, I wear this a lot during the day, even to work. I tend to favour lighter reds and pinks in both lipsticks and gloss. I have got a nice pink gloss with sparkles in that I am saving for a special occasion.

I have only a few shades and only wear when I can ( infrequent these days) but when I do I love to wear my red and when I drink my coffee I love to see the stain of lipstick on my mug. It to me is feminine and I like to have that feeling the stain came from me. This may sound silly to some of you girls.

I have about a dozen colors as I like a little different look each day from a pink to a dark bronze. My wife told me never to touch up my lipstrick at the dinner table when eating out as it is inproper go to the power room.
