Wearing Nylons While En Drab

I was wondering if any of you folks have started wearing nylons, stockings or pantyhose in drab mode around your family and friends while in the house. Did you get any reactions from them? If so, what were they? Has anyone openly wore nylons with their grandchildren around? I so hate having to cover up my feet whenever we have guests drop by and would love to just act normally. Not sure my wife would agree with me on this though.

Thoughts? How have you handled this situation?

The only time I have on drab socks is when I need to wear work boots, and then I often have some sort of hose underneath.

The only comment I have every had was from my wife. At that time I was having trouble with the skin cracking on my feet. I found that wearing cheap rough knee highs did wonders for the cracking skin. From thee it was just a matter of moving on.

I wear knee high stockings most of the time, except when I change into sandals or thongs (flip flops) :) :)

I have worn panty hose under my male clothing several times. I do not let them show. I cover with socks so as not to give it away. I love the feel and can only imagine what the feeling would be like with clean shaven legs ( not there yet to be smooth skinned ). I enjoy the feeling of nylons on. I have worn them to work and even on the weekends. I look forward to wearing them now more that the weather is getting colder.

Carol, in referencing Anne"s post and link, about 4 posts back, you may be telling the truth and not knowing it.

Carol, Can I ask you a question, re your thigh high stockings, how do you keep them up?
I have a couple of pairs that are meant to be "Stay-ups" but on me they always manage to fall down rather quickly.

What is your suggestion to solving my problem! :-k :-k

I've found that the Hanes Silk Reflections stay up best - but not for long. After 2 or 3 wearings, the non-slip stuff wears off. faster after washing. I managed to delay the wash effect by washing only the foot half of the stocking. In spite of these difficulties, I find the thigh-highs are easier to put on and wear.

Hugs,

Lydia

When it is colder out I try to as mcuh as possible...be prepared for some questions though...I recently wrote on here about my last trip to the dentist, when you are inthe chair, the ankles show! I had on Legg's suntan sandalfoot knee-high's...my hygenist noticed that like a hawk!
I like the hosiery en drab...it is that little bit of femininity to remind you of who you are. Go for it...if you are really liking it, check out Avenue women's plus size, they have all the latest colors and patterns and I blieve it is now "okay" to wear colored and/or patterned hose with open-toed shoes...try a pair with some sandals.

Pat,
I have no problems what so ever and get many a wear out of them.
I get my stockings from Wal-Mart everday wear in a queen size. (--)

I wear Sheer Energy pantyhose on a daily basis, and have done so for the last 22 years. I have never had any issues with them, except that one time I was at Lodge, and had to have the EMS called as my heart rate was rather erratic. Fortunately the young girl who was hooking up the electrodes on my legs did not say anything and just looked up at me and smiled. When I get home, I change into a pair of jeans, usually woman's jeans, and take my socks off and walk around in my stockinged feet in my slippers. Even if someone comes over, they can't see the stockings so it's never been an issue for me.

I've not done it around anyone not already in the know, but if I did, and it was commented on, then I just say, "doctors orders for improving blood circulation."

Since the brat knows and her hubby, i don't have to make a rush to cover up anything. I don't wear hose at home; leggings are as close as I get for them. I have fem slippers that I wear and so the kids get to see them. Now my in-laws, I have to be drab so my fem slippers get replaced with socks if I don't put on shoes. ya never know when I have my toes painted :)

Speaking of toes, my next door neighbor got to see me in my leggings, fem print top and blue sparkly toes the other day. We were only an arm's reach part. he didn't say anything, but he checked out my toes several times. I guess it's official, he knows I dress.

Stockings are too expensive to waste wearing under bifurcated garments, except below zero F.

Recently my feet and ankles swelled up pretty bad, so I started wearing knee-highs so I could still get into my shoes (unfortunately this means my Drab shoes, and only one pair of femme sneakers, and none of my unisex loafers). When stockinged this way, I wear very long pants in public.

Hugs,

Bernice
