Good morning everyone...
As the T-giving holiday is fast approaching, many stores are having pre-after thanksgiving sales. (I think this statement is an oxymoron) This is a great opportunity to see if anything is new and if it falls in the "must have" category. This would include: make up, new outfits, shapewear, stocking / tights, maybe shoes.
What do you all usually wear when undertaking a shopping excursion? I guess it would depend on what is going to be purchased or at least "checked out". For myself, I almost always venture forth in a conservative outfit...usually a pants & top (or sweater) but sometimes in a skirt / top and of course 2" or 3" heels, light makeup, and a simple "fluffed up and combed "do", any maybe some simple jewelry. As one does not know what one may find, I am always prepared... I will always wear a good high waist panty girdle (with stockings, as I am from the "golden age of girdles", where a lady will not leave home without wearing some support) and a longline bra, as what one tries on, should fit smoothly, and I believe proper shapewear is a must.
I almost always am invited to try on the outfit selected but sometimes not depending on the establishment.
Any thoughts / comments??

Hi Bobbie,
Good thought. My choice usually is to wear something that would blend in. That depends on where you are going, however. To the GoodWill Store, I tend to wear something ratty - verging on sloppy, in beige to dull brown in color. For Macy's or Saks, still nothing flashy but a neat knee-length skirt ond inconspicuous top - low heels or flats. At my age, I have to go easy on makeup, otherwise I look like an old whore.
In general, I give a lot of thought to what I wear shopping. If it is within the local area, I avoid malls and always plan a quick escape route in case I bump into someone who knows me.
It is a rush, so go to it.
Hugs,
Lydia
