New Face

A while ago there was a stream here about how we choose our name, of course we have a great advantage over a lot of people in that we do have the freedom to choose our own name, not just put up with whatever our parents wanted. But this is not about that, I now have a new avatar, this one is me. This is partly because I now have a picture I'm happy to use, and partly because I have now found a way of getting it within the size limits (I just use these things I don't understand them).
Much though I wish I did look like my old avatar Edda from 9 Chickweed Lane, I think what I have now is probablly a bit more honest, yes that's me.
So how did you choose?

My avatar is actually my 'evil twin', bent on world domination.
Of course, that's just what the 'evil twin' would say about the good one...
I clipped mine out of a pic a friend took while we were out one evening, and it just said "happy" to me.

I chose mine from a picture that was taken when I was talking to a friend. People seem to like my avatar as if I have mentioned changing it I get howls of anguish - almost

Paula I like your avatar. It's sort of like how I'd want mine to look if I had one. Your hair looks like it might be gray in the picture and I especially like that. While we are accepting our gender and clothing choices we really ought embrace our actual age.
I don't have one. I tried a couple of cartoon things but couldn't get them to work. My face is not allowed as pictures of folks with beards in a dress are not allowed here. On the other hand I do have a couple of clean shaven pictures I could use. However I don't like them and also there is the privacy issue.

Early on I used an image of Christine, Emmy Rossum, from the movie The Phantom of the Opera.
I switched to one of me once I bought a nice wig, lost 50 lbs, and was able to set the camera up to take a decent picture.
Like my wife, I don't do gray hair in fem mode.

This the second wig I have tried, and yes it is grey, I decided that I would feel more comfortable matching my natural hair colour, and it works for me, thanks for the nice comments

I have been reluctant to post an avatar showing a likeness of myself en-femme. My wife says that at best I look like Bernard Bresslaw in Carry On Girls or Carry On Matron!
However, I like the avatar I’m using now. “Shush, I won’t tell if you don’t tell.”

I would like mine to be me, but alas as Absaroka said those of us with facial hair are not allowed ( wish I read/knew that a few months ago ), so I found a feminine face I felt I liked.

Agonizing over wig color, style and the choice of an "avatar", that would be what has been on my mind for some time.
I am sure I look much better in your imagination than I do in real life.
I have decided that, like Donna, I don't do gray.
Avatar? There is no time for that discovery these days.

Paula, I think you look very nice. I have looked through your photos and all is very well done. Being comfortable with ones choices is, after all, most important.

This is the only forum where i have felt secure enough to post my own photo as as my avatar.
I am far from being an accomplished CD, so I just hope my avatar is acceptable.

I don't know if y'all had noticed, but I am on my second avatar/pic already. I'll likely change it again. Hopefully, the next one will look better (not that it will be difficult) than the current one.
As for everyone's I've seen that is a picture of yourself. Good for you being real. Everyone of us girls are good looking -- plain an simple. For you ladies with a picture not of yourself, good for you for not competing and putting all us other good looking girls to shame.

It's just me messing about with my webcam. No wig and light makeup.
