As American culture covers the world, how come we got McDonald's and not Victoria's Sectret?

Not an answer to your question, but near as I can remember, there was a small shop called Victoria's Secret in London (at Victoria). I never went in (during my guilty period about CDing), but it appeared to be a CD store. Looked somewhat tacky. Whenever people talk about Victoria's Secret I always kind of amuse myself with the idea that the US stores are influenced by that one, only catering to the wider market. That would be cultural imperialism coming from our side of the pond. Only it's probably rubbish.

They were supposed to open a store on the corner of New Bond Street and Brook Street in London. Have they not done so yet?

That address is in a different money zone to Penge. South Londoners are allowed to occasionally visit the west end, but we should never think that we are allowed to buy anything, even looking in the windows of some of the shops is too expensive for me, still maybe I should try again soon....

I thought you had nice lingerie brands and shops over there. VS is nice but sized for the average to smaller gals. They do make one heck of a padded push up bra. Nothing like making mountains out of mole hills.

Nah, that's just making bigger hills out of little hills. But what you really need is breast forms (D in my case).

It's about 10 yrs since I have been in a VS store and I was disapointed in the selection especially in panties and night wear. The panties were mostly jockey style in bland colours and the night wear was very functional and not at all sexy. My earliest impressions were of sexy satins and frills and lace.
