Shaving

While I take steps be be more and more feminine in my day-to-day life, I've taken up that age old practice of shaving, namely legs and chest (the back is still a bit tricky for me). While I had done it in High school a couple times I always wore pants and never made it public. For the last few weeks I've had my legs, chest, upper arms and armpits shave and I noticed something that wasn't too surprising, but I hadn't thought of it. (I've always been nervous or paranoid about some things and I've learned that it was usually for nothing) Having had my job at Marco's since January I'v gotten more relaxed and made some friends, as the summer draws near the heat means it's time for shorts, and today's 93 degree sun meant hitting the pool with my co-worker and good friend Ron. All in all, not only is it either not noticed or not cared about, but I'm so much more comfortable! I can feel just a little more like myself and a little less worried.

Basically, if you are like me (19, 20, etc.) and nervous about all about these things, don't be! I realize how excepting people can be these days and how little many care!

Unless someone has seen you hairy, and paid attention, then I doubt they will notice if you are not (hairy)

A while back I shaved my armpits so I could wear a particular dress, it is so much more comfortable that I have continued, and have received no comments, even from my wife.

Totally!
I got a little worried because I have dark hair and once I shaved I realized just how pale I was! I was like a ghost in the desert, but hitting the local pool has gotten me tanned a bit!

Do not worry, I have had my legs shaved all my adult life and I have been wearing shorts every summer since the mid 70's. No one has ever mentioned it. I have no chest hair so if I have been wandering around wearing just shorts I assume people see me as a person who lacks body hair.

People do not look at men's legs when wearing shorts. Relax and enjoy it.

I guess it has been nearly 30 years now but I am shaved clean head to toe. Now will admit at my age hair just doesn't grow much, now on the other side of the coin my wife told me a long time ago she loves a smooth man in bed not an hairy ape. =D>

*THIS*

and as an added bonus, you save on anti-perspirant, by not using so much to cover unnecessary hair, too. It's a win-win. :D

Like Susan i have virtually no body hair, and I shave under my arms & pubic areas. My wife is OK with this, as she appreciates that it is hygienic and less likely to cause odour issues.

I have not gone as far as shaving my legs and arms, but they are not that hairy.

I been keeping myself shaved smooth from nose to toes for years and if anyone was aware of it besides myself, they never said a thing. I also believe it is a personal choice and it seems to be accepted more in today's world!

Only person that has ever said anything about my shaved legs is my wife. She only noticed when she put her hand on my leg and noticed it was smooth.

I discovered Nair and like it because there is no razor burn or irritation, but will burn your face and does not work there either. I shave as clean as I can every morning. I have no underarm hair, and no chest hair, fortunately I have little body hair. I have avoided shaving below the knees in the summer but find it interesting that some of you keep your legs clean and smooth year round. I know it takes about 6-8 weeks to grow back to a normal length. Even so...I worry about people noticing, family, and other people - but perhaps I should not be worried???

Each morning after my gym session, I hit the shower and while there, do the touch up for the legs. Once a month or so at home, I will make sure that I do a good shave of the full leg.
Do not be concerned, there are a lot of men who are hairless on the leg, arm and chest.
No one will say anything.

While out shopping yesterday I did notice that ""Boots" now carry Nair for Men in the men's toiletries section, how long before it is normal for men to have a hairless presentation?

There's usually no need to worry, from most reports I've read by others.

In my own case, I shave every couple or 3 days. I swim every morning at the gym. No one has ever mentioned it.

Heck, one guy at the gym would sit there on the bench and run the electric shaver over his whole body. I never heard any comments.

I do worry about family, two very conventional sisters that I only see about once or twice a year. Then there's a men's group, also extremely conventional. My wife's family are like the beverly hillbillies!!!!
Children involved in baseball, the men hunt, even took their little girl to hunt and she killed her first deer! They are professional and intelligent but even so they are hardcore conservative southereners and I believe they already look at me askance because I do not join in and socialize with them - I am clueless about pro sports though I know how baseball and football are played - I do not care a wit for any of it and know nothing of who is who, nor do I care. I have guns but I am not a hunter. I suppose I could just wear kakies or jeans when hanging out with manly men and just go ahead - but then there are my teenage boys - but they have long hair, are vegan and vegitarian and one even wears eyeliner and black nail polish on occasion...hum - think I will go ahead and do it!
