Got the timer set to record in case I miss it.

From what I have read about the show, it will cover some sorta controversial things. Puberty blockers, early childhood transition, and transition regret are three of them. The example of transition regret is necessary I guess, but I have seen publicity about it mold attitudes more than positive stories about successful transitions. I find it interesting and very human that those who regret transition seem to think it is bad for everyone. In fact, they form a very small minority among an already small minority who select transition to make their lives better.

I recorded the program and just finished watching it. For the most part it was good and informative. They will always give you the naysayers side of things. In this case, I think that they did a poor job. I question if the individual who went MtoF and then FtoM back, was ever really transgendered to begin with. It struck me that they were just one mixed up individual. If anything the program will open the door to dialogue and show that this situation is not just going to go away. What a crime that someone has to sell themselves to get the surgery that they desire. A wonderful testimony to the for profit medical system that was built in America.

When it got to the segment of the guy who transitioned MtoF and then FtoM I deleted the rest of the program.

Some people do have regrets, which is indisputable, but there are a lot lot more who do not have regrets.

I agree. Donna. That segment of the program was, to me, disgusting. I cannot understand why they gave it so much time.

Well I watched it after being recorded. It was kinda all over the place, but all told did each person okay. It was nice they didn't do a big sensationalization, but just talked about what was going on with the individuals. The interview we straight forward as well.

Okay so it was on PrimeTime TV -- no pun intended, but I think they were too shallow about it all. I don't think people will come away with much more than they already know or think. As to "think," they were good to say it's not an illness, we aren't crazy, etc.

I agree with Davia, I hated when they went to the part about the teenager selling her body to make money to pay for her operations, NASTY!.

I watched the show also and for the most part thought they did a fairly nice report. However I agree with Donna & Lydia that the segment with the " flip - flopper " was too much and they should have added someone with the opposite opinion to balance out the report.

So I E - Mailed ABC and asked them if they would ever consider doing a report on adult crossdressers and transgendered people showing what we have to deal with on an everyday level. Showing how our families and friends react to us, what we have to put up with when we go out in public, etc. As of yet I have not received a reply from them, and don't really expect to get one, but will wait and see.

I can only hope that the majority of the public who watched it took away the fact that TG, CD, and the rest is a complicated subject at best. And not one to make fun of, but to try and have a sense of understanding and compassion for those involved, both the TG or CDer and those who love them.
