That's the name of a clothing catalog sent to my male name. Somebody out there knows something! :P

I get those all the time. I've ordered in my male name for my wife and Cindy, now my wife doesn't bat an eyelid. As a matter of fact UPS is due tomorrow with some winter PJ's for wifey.

I have gotten this catalog before also. I get a lot of emails with women's clothing. I usually order under my male name. I did talk online with a sales person at a shoe store about sizing for women's shoes and she was very helpful and I was using my male name. I thinks she said at one point to one of my questions: "I understand".

One has to use the male name - that's what is on the credit card. I figure that the clerk that handles my order either suspects or assumes that I am ordering for my wife. I really don't care what she/he thinks.

Hugs,

Lydia

This sort of thing happens al teh time, we are just more sensitive. Everything I get from the Royal Acadamy is addressed to Ms. P G......... My wife did raise an eyebrow the first time, my daughter tinks it hilarious.

Mass mailings are like that. If the catalog is slanted toward women, then it might be addressed to Mrs. whomever they have a name for, or not. I get things from my alma mater all the time with every variation of my name and my old name on multiple pieces of mail. I thought to be nice and point out that they could save money by reducing the volume of mail a bit, but it seems it costs them just as much in bulk mail fees whether they correct their address data base or not, so they just don't bother.

And folks wonder why the US mail is in such financial trouble. Piffle!!

I just subscribed to "Good Housekeeping" in my male name, only to find out my son is going to be moving in with us for a few months. Oh, well.
