Idea!!! (:

I just had a huge idea, and I'm very excited to share it with you lovely people. A school for CDs and TGs. No dress code, no uniform, just wear what you like (as long as it's not erotic ;) ), and think about it. If you're there, and so are other CDs and/or TGs, they won't judge you. Non-Trans people and people who aren't crossdressers can enroll too, because when you think about it, people who would judge a person like you or me wouldn't dare step in a Trans/CD school. With Genderless bathrooms, but the changing rooms will be for whatever gender you're passing as.
Just an interesting thought I had.

An interesting idea indeed, Emma. If it were in my neighbourhood, I would enrol, providing you could change into femme mode on site. (For closet CDs like me!)

The school could run lessons on make up, deportment, speech therapy, sewing, dressmaking, hairstyling, and I'm sure many other subjects as well.

Lovely idea.

I'd narrow it. Maybe a school for non-judgmental CDs/TGs and their allies.

Donna, I agree. Tolerance and mutual support would be everything in such a school.

What a great idea this is, Emma! How many here would attend, do you think? Certainly there are a good many CDers who for one reason or another find it too hard to expose themselves to the rest of us. But I love the idea of classes in aspects of the life from dress and carriage to voice and manner. And the chance to mingle in a low-key everyday way (apart from occasional fancy-show-type get-togethers) would be so cool.

I picture streams of us arriving just like kids for school, suitcases in hand ... the braver ones already dressed en femme ...

That does make me wonder, though, what sort of hostility such a school would attract when (as is inevitable no matter how inconspicuous it tries to be) its presence in the neighborhood is noticed. And commented on. And becomes an issue (especially with the inevitable parents who are terrified it might prove interesting to their kids ...). The inevitable fringe of haters could very quickly turn such a thing into a cause.

Maybe in areas with sufficient attendees the school could even have a school bus or two to pick up those pupils who desire transportation. That would enhance safety, just as it does for schoolchildren.

Done carefully, though, it could be inspiring. And maybe if everyone agreed on zero flamboyance, its secret could be kept?

Now you've made me pine for such a school locally!

Love, Robyn Katie

So Emma,
Would this be like an expansion of all the seperate dressing services joined together in 1 City ? Now THAT would be where " I " would want to live.!!

Since we're spread all over the world why don't we set up this school in cyberspace and do it all on line. Oops sorry we already have right here. Well done founders.

Latanya,

Books? nnnaaahhhhh want that walk that draws attention? Carry a 20 pound bag -- what is comfy but is heavy enough to make your arms straight. Carry one in each arm. You don't need to swing your arms because what's going to happen is your body will take up the swish to maintain balance. Enjoy the feel and remember how your body moves. You want it subtle; your walk is not from the waist up but from the waist down.

Have a friend do it so you can watch and see what I'm talking about. I've seen it so many times at airports.

I'm all for it! Anything that will break the proverbial isolation I am in.

It's one thing to recognize this thing in me but I want to know more about it and share it with others.
This is really a very special feeling.

Anyone going to Southern Confort this year?

When she was a girl my Mother was made to do just this, I think part of the idea was not to wiggle ~ nice girls didn't wiggle, not then, and her school was only interested in nice girls, want to know how to walk http://paula-paulasplace.blogspot.co.uk ... ity-v.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

My Mother went to a private school for the daughters of Gentlemen in the 1930s on a scholarship, she had a lot of problems because she was there on merit rather than her fathers money, they thought they wanted to be nice, but where's the fun in that. However I do think for any of us who go out deportment is important to some extent, even if only in little things like sitting with knees together and knowing what to do with a handbag.
