What A Wonderful Feeling

Before I get into this you need to understand I'm 71 and have only gotten the freedom to get out in public once in awhile in the last 2 years. My wife isn't a fan of my CDing but after 47 years she puts up with some of it.
It's difficult to explain the wonderful feeling I get when I dressed as Wendae and am out and about shopping or just out. The feel of nylon sliding across my bod, wind blowing up my skirt or my hair caressing my face, my high heels clicking on the pavement even the smell nylon and of the cosmetics is pure heaven. I no longer fear being outed as I have passed well enough in a number of situations. Now that the weather has cooled off here in Florida boots, nylons and slips are a welcome addition to my attire.There is no way you can get this feeling across to someone that views CDing as wierd. I don't think my therapist(a female) really understands. It's addictive. Never goes away. Can destroy you life. It's like being an addict and you really have no control over your emotions.
I will add that I do fear discovery by my kids and neighbors. But I'm sure that one day I will have to cross that bridge.

Wendae, I fully agree with your feelings on this. I only go out occasionally, and then its only into the garden, but the feelings are all there.

What is "rumbled"?

Sorry about my odd lingo I forget I talk funny at times haha...

"rumbled" in this context would mean " found out" or "discovered" as you put it?

For me personally I didn't last but a few months before the kids "rumbled" me. My eldest daughter (10 at the time) says over breakfast with a big grin.... " dad? Why are you wearing eyeliner?" no denials got me off the hook, so um yeah I was truly "rumbled". I regret it not tho, cos now I don't hide a thing and it's totally normal here, I even go dress shopping with her . I'm not suggesting rushing out and getting rumbled on purpose, but hey, it can sometimes be such a good thing if circumstances are right IMO..

Yes Wendea, how right you are. Unless some one is like us they don't understand the enjoyment brought by wearing hose and having the feel of a slip slide across them as we move. I have been going out regularly for years and I still love the feel of stockings on my freshly shaved legs. Iwas out last night with another CD friend went to Apple Bees and then to Ilse of Capri casino, and enjoyed the exact feelings you described. Glad to hear that you are able to get out more now, hope the wife will come around. Mine still tells me there is no way in H.... that she will go out with me.
