It takes all kinds of kinds

I have been using the signature "It takes all kinds of kinds" for a bit now in several forums and was asked about it by someone yesterday. I like the song because it points out what a diverse world we live in. A world full of all kinds of people and that we need to accept and celebrate the diversity of our world, but not everyone does that.
We, as cd's tg's or whatever we classified as are part of that diverse world. Not only are we diverse because of that classification but also because of our different cultures because we are from all over world.
I had heard the song several times but hadn't paid that puch attention to all the lyrics until one day I caught the bit about the congressman who wore dresses. After I caught that I went and looked up the lyrics, and the whole thing really made me think about all the diversity in the world and how the ignorance of those who are not accepting makes the world a harder place for us to live in.
So while "some point the finger, let ignorance linger" I hope we as a group are better people than that.
I hope this didn't come of as rant, or that its out of place here. It just nice to think that there are couple of song writers and a singer out there who can include cd's in those groups who shouldn't be having fingers pointed at them. It gives me some hope.
