My sister asked me for fashion advice!

I had a lovely moment with my younger sister the other day when she asked me -- before she asked our mum -- which shoes best went with her outfit. It wasn't a massively feminine outfit, though -- being a rock chick, her casual ensemble was of a subtle pink and brown theme with boots in the line of these Kessi Crochets.
Straight away, I went with the sandier brown shade ahead of a much darker colour, but I then hesitated and thought it over, making her turn every which way so that I could give an informed decision. For about a minute, she and I discussed the pros and cons, joked and laughed, then settled on the sandy brown. My smile must have been a mile wide when she left, and I felt warm and happy inside
It was so nice and lovely to help and bond with my sister like that, even if just for a minute. Neither of us were totally sold on our decision, though, so about a minute later, my sister asked our mum the same question. Sweetly, our mum responded exactly the same as we both did, immediately choosing the sandy brown but stopping to ponder the decision straight away. I'm pretty sure she settled on the sandy brown.
The whole episode made me smile. I can count the number of times my sister and I have ever talked about women's fashion, but I hope that this little scene might warm her up to the idea a little more. I'm trying to think of very subtle ways that I can bring the subject up this week, perhaps by complimenting her on outfits or recycling our jokes about the shoes from the other day. The episode also gave me real-life insight as to what being my (hopefully girlier) future wife's fashion consultant could be like, and I loved every second of it!
