Had a wonderful morning today went shopping with the wife who wanted a new bra. It was lovely being among all those lovely
bras but disappointing that I could not try one on but just to touch them did funny things to me. Then we went to the shoe dept and to see all those beautiful heels of all height sizes was enough to die for. Well one day I hope i can get my wife to understand and all these moments can turn into reality.

Best wishes, babe.
Baby steps, starting with political awareness, which leads to personal awareness, to you. The real you.

What happened to window shopping without the better half? Then, if you have that brave moment, you can exercise it and try something on. Nothing says you have to spend money, of course. That just might require the explanation you might not be ready to give.

Yes i do do a bit of that though I don't like browsing in those dept's by myself in men clothing.

When you browse those dept's yourself in mens clothes everyone automatically assumes you are buying a gift for someone. You can either play along with that, or confess. Don't let it stop you though

The Christmas gift buying season is the best time of the year for shopping
You can go into any store and they will greet you with open arms
Don't worry about what some clerk might think
Just go for it!

I believe the best part of shopping in drab is you ask may I try this on

.
So far I have had eyes open as I ask the question but the truth is your money is good anywhere, in fact I have never been turn down just eyed up

Thanks Zephyr lily and Carol Ann. It takes courage, something I am lacking at present but no doubt will come in time
I am still coming to grips with myself and trying to get the courage to tell wife.
love to you both

I do the window shopping thing a lot but I have never asked to try anything on I'm not that brave. If anyone says anything I tell them my wife sent me in. There has only been a couple of times anyone said anything about that so I am pretty comfortable with just wondering around and looking. I have even bought some things but not tried them on first.

Sarah got me thinking. When I shop drab, I still shop with intent to buy. I touch, I study, I compare, and I might even hold the item up to me. So that saleslady walking over and asking if it's for my better half.... are you kidding? Here's what I'm getting at... Sure we can tell the saleslady anything that makes you feel like you are getting away with something but the bottom line is the person will believe it or not as long as you get the required help.
The very first time I came out to a saleslady was because both of us were getting a bit frustrated with me trying to explain what I was looking for without saying the "me" or "I" words. As soon as I said it was for me, the saleslady knew exactly what she was working with and we found a dress.

I generally have no problems goign into the woman's department and shopping
That being said since I am a "big gal" I generally get most of my fem wear on line
As for trying things on-- I think one of the biggest thrills I have had recently was when I was down in Daytona en fem and
worked with the sales woman and tried on several items on in the dressing room at one off the Catherine's Stores
Be mighty brave

I used to freak out about it, but nowadays I'm really starting to get a kick out of watching how people squirm when they don't know how to react? Dunno if it makes me bad but its fun!
The other day, I had my eye test and retinopathy too, as my eyes are trashed due to the diabetes. I went in, signed the form and took a seat in the waiting area. When the optician came along and called "Mr xxx" I stood up. Her face was freakin' hilarious! I love it. She pulled a weird face and said loudly in front of the whole store. "Er..misteeer?? Okaaaaaaaaay?!". 'Yes!' I smirked. Sooo funny!
I declared the hrt on my medications and then she settled down. Awesome. I love doing that. Turns out my eyes are indeed busted and I need a few pairs of glasses. Ughh. I knew that anyway though, cos I can't see without reading glasses now. I don't need lasers yet and that I'm happy about. Result!
Anyway, after being asked my name....twice, by the assistant, she led me to the racks of glasses to show me the range. Straight to the "For Him" ones all the way at the left of the store. I walked up and quickly cut her off. 'Umm...can we have a look over there please?' And pointed all the way to the right of the store. Right where the 'For Her' sign was.
Boom..second victim of the staff! Score! Her face jolted..erm certainly!..and she led me there. FREAKIN' AWESOME! Its just Sooo much fun! I didn't buy any cos I'm skint and my cars broke, and there weren't any that I liked really. I sense some fun coming on when I shop for these.
Its weird how people will see what they want to. One person will see girl and another sees guy, regardless of what I look like. I didn't have makeup on, just a blue fleece, jeans and some Mary Jane flats. No effort put in it at all. My hair was in a pony and okay I had a bow in it, but it was blue!
I can't recommend trying it enough! Its loadsa fun!!
