First step towards courage.

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

First step towards courage.

Post by Baylee »

Today I went to the mall to return a pair of sweat pants that didn't fit for a hoodie. The entire idea is nothing special, and it had nothing to do with dressing up. These were purely mens clothing. However, I went almost as soon as the mall opened, so pretty early, so no one else besides one of the workers was in the store.

My heart began to beat, because this was my opportunity. I noticed an entire section of the store was on sale, or on clearance. Just about all of it was for women. I shop here fairly often, but my girlfriend hates the store, so knowing she won't be coming here any time soon, I made up a couple stories to the worker and he was more then happy to help, especially because its around the holidays. This worked perfectly. I walked out for about 5 items, normally costing around $50, and it only costed me $15.

Today literally could not have been better!

After years of suppressing my feminine desires, I recently came out to my wife. Since then I've gone on a number of shopping trips, was fitted for a wig and had my make up done at Sephora. I have had no issues whatsoever. On Tuesday I bought two bras at Kohls only to realize I bought the wrong size. Again I had no issues when I returned them.

I've also begun to get my nails done. The next time I go I'm having them put on polish as well.

I really don't care what any SAs may think. I'm doing it for me and love being able to shop freely.

Good luck and do to be scared to go out and buy whatever you want!

Alright BAylee,
Go Girl.
This is The best time of year for those unsure about shopping as it is easily accepted that we are buying gifts for some one.
But I have also found that most SAs, if they have been working a while, are not phased by guys buying women's clothes.

I suggest that you dont make up stories. In most cases they will know you are lying.
As long as you are out of your home area (10 miles) you can tell the SA the truth
about you buying the clothes for yourself. If you are in a shop where it is not
crowded (10 AM opening or 6PM) you will have time to talk with the SA and if
you hit it off with her she will even help you try on clothes or bras or what ever.
Have fun

Yes tell the truth. If it's for you say so. Besides most will know a lie when they hear it anyway. You get more help that way and relaxes the SA too.

I say do whatever it takes to build up your courage. It is nobodies business who the clothes are for, and most sales associates could care less.
So I concluded that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to enjoy themselves as long as they can. People should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of there labor, for these are gifts from God.

I don't make up stories, I shop for me and I try things on, even in guy mode I still wear something femme so I'm sure people know, sometimes I even shop in a dress or a skirt. I do not pass as I don't wear a wig and I'm shaved bald. I tend to stand out when I go out dressed. Anyway, shop where you want and for what you want. I had someone ask me in goodwill who I was shopping for and I told her I was shopping for myself, she was like "Oh! Nothing wrong with that". I said "I didn't think there was".
