Bought my first dress today

I have begun to assemble a very nice girly wardrobe. Mostly skirts and tops so far. Today I bought a beautiful gray / silver dress at the GW Boutique. It was brand new and still had the tags on it. Got it for $7.50. I couldn't wait to get home and put it on.
I never knew shopping could be so much fun!! I'm sure it will be the first of many.t56

Good for you, Jackie. I'm jealous.
I'll be following in your footsteps soon as I figure out where to put the wardrobe.
The dress sounds like a good snag, hope you enjoy it.
Kelly.

Jackie, good deal! More happy shopping!
Kelly, hide the clothes in plain view. If you want them hung up. all you have to do is keep track of when the better half rotates her seasonal outfits. Hang your stuff up at the ends of the closet where she keeps last season. Shift things a bit so yours aren't going to stand out. If you box things, put your boxes with other boxes. Mark the box so you know yours from the rest. Ro, my better half rarely got into boxes; she had me get them for her so I could easily avoid having my boxes looked into.

Way to go Jackie.
Glad to hear you are getting started on a wardrobe. When your out looking at new outfits don't forget to get some casual everyday things. It was several years before I bought any pants, I saw no real point in wearing pants when I was dressing. But after several years I did manage a pair of capris and a pair of leggings to wear when I go to the nail salon. When its cold out I wear long skirts, boots and tights.
Yes I agree never new shopping could be so fun.

Shopping is lots of fun even if it is window shopping.

It is just some much fun to get something wonderful at a great price. Shopping is always great fun, I just wish I lived somewhere close enough to a big mall or something where I could the window shopping more in person than online. I would be in drab to do it but its still so much fun and once in awhile you do find a bargain you just can't pass up.

My wife has 4 closets full of clothes. But she knows where everything is and can tell when anything is out of place or something is added. I wonder how many women are like that.

I suspect my wife would notice. But there is a box where she never looks....
I've had a lot of fun shopping at the GW boutique, and for first time shoppers it's also a pleasantly relaxed setting. The fitting rooms are usually unlocked which is also nice.

It's funny about dresses. I have about five but I don't wear them. I'm pretty much a confirmed tops and skirts girl. Dresses I find, somehow, less convenient, less comfortable. (Maybe if I'd lose twenty pounds I'd feel differently?)
