Well It is not exactly how it goes. I was feeling very ready to get to a Boutique , to buy my first dress or whatever piece of clothing I want! But as I got closer to go , Well guess what? I discovered a virtual boutique with safe delivery at my door! So what an easy way to chicken out of my promesses!!!!!!! Well I hope that I will go anyway to get clothing, one day or another! Fiouffffffff that feels good to say it to you ! thanks ](*,)

With me, I kept thinking about it and then going past shops. And then, one day, I found I was actually going into a shop (a big chain store that I knew was supposed to be CD-friendly).

I am getting pretty comfortable looking at and buying clothes. Even had a nice conversation with a cashier returning a dress and then finding the right size. Trying on shoes has been a little nerve wracking. The more you do it the more comfortable it gets.

yes, after you do it a few times it gets waaaaayyyyy too easy!!
I bought a few hundred dollars worth of great deals last weekend at JC Penny, but it was all on sale and I really did need some more sweaters, and the dresses I didn't actually need but they were really cute and the one I had been wanting for a long time, and I got great deals on all of it, I mean $5 for a black pencil skirt you just can't pass that up.
I had not really been shopping in that store before, and one of the girls was a bit anxious at first when I asked her to give her opinion about how a dress fit on me. But we both agreed that it didn't fit me well, I think she was worried about offending me if she told the truth!
It's really only awkward when you are acting nervous and pretending that you're shopping for someone else, or that it's a secret or something.

I have purchased all my female apparel while in male mode. Once when buying shoes the sales assistance said "I think you will look good in these." While highly embarrassed I just said, "Yes my wife will", paid and walked out.

I am waiting for the day when I have the courage and confidence to buy when dressed.

I would love to walk into a store and pick out something.
The problem is that most stores do not carry their larger sizes in stock.
They are only available through the catalog. Even my favorite store,
Lane Bryant just does not carry size 32 as much as they do size 28.
So I thumb thorough the pages of dreams and click away on my computer.

I still shop while dressed as a guy. Now that I've gone out dressed, I think I'll try shopping for clothes while en femme....Should be fun !!

yes Babbs, you will love shopping a lot more en femme. For one thing, you can take all the time you want to look at things without feeling like you don't belong in the womans department. That in itself is nice, but the other thing is that you can talk honestly with the SA's about what you're looking for and try things on. I find that I don't even have to "pass" as such. As long as we all understand that I'm shopping for myself and I really am planning to wear these clothes it make the whole experience more pleasant.

Ralista, thank you for the abvice and vote of confidence.
Like Babbs my goal is to shop en femme. It might make the shoe store experience easier.
