At what age did you start crossdressing?

Post by Daniel »

I know most people start as a child, and I would say that the age I started - 15 - is pretty old. So I thought I'd like to know at what age most of the people here started.

My youngest rememberance is when I was about 7, could have been 6 or 8, not much good at remembering my childhood.

One Halloween, before I started going to school, my mother dressed my as a girl and the few close by neighbors thought I was cute.

Later on, my mother had a few dresses stored that were about my size and I would sneak and try one on once in a while, then when they got too small, I would try on some of her slips and nightgowns.

Hi Daniel,

I started about the age of 12 -13. It is not something I have a clear memory of it could have been a bit later.

Hiya,
I think that many boys when they are little, can dress up in their sisters clothes, without it being crossdressing. Many of us have these memories I am sure. But when we started doing it as a concious act, I think is a different matter.
I recall wearing my sisters clothes when I was 4 or 5 ish. But I dont believe I considered myself a crossdresser until I turned 15. That was the age that I wanted to go out in public.
Sadly it me another ten years to achieve it!

Hi there,

Good points you two. I guess I should clarify what I did early on.

I started dressing @ 5. First came hose and then leotards and tights, and then dresses. I would wear my mom's leotards and boots and wigs. I remember doing that in the first grade because I love to emulate my first grade teacher. @@9@@ I was still to afraid to try makeup, but I was using that in elementary school. My brother was my baby sitter and he'd go out and play with his friends in the neighborhood. I'd go and play with my mom's things.
:)
He did catch me once in Kindergarten and threatened to tell all of my friends. I was taking hose from my mom's waste bin. He chased me down as I tried to run away from him. It was pretty embarrassing.

So I really did start dressing at 5. 8-[

When I was little I lived with my father and did not have a strong or regualer female in my life. Now please remember and do not judge I found in the alley (remember I was young) a pair of dirty girls panties. I kept them for a long time (never wore them) but I for some reson wanted more but it was very hard on me. I then (while visiting my mom) got a pair of hers panties about the age 9 or 10. Then some years later I began getting my own. Now as I got older I do not feel any problems buying stuff for my self. I never understood when I was young why I liked girls under clothes but I never understood it untill the internet opened my eyes more.

Ok so this is a little more info but I would have to say it pre 10 years for me that is all I can remember.

Hi girls,

My sisters dressed me when I was 2-3 and told everyone I was thier little sister, but it was not until I was 11 that I started wearing my sisters underwear.

However, even before I started wearing her underwear, I thought I was a girl trapped in a boys body. I clearly remember reading an article in Readers Digest about a man trapped in a girls body when I was 9, and thinking that was me.

Love always,

Hi girls.
I tried on my sister's pantyhose when I was 12 but never fully dressed until recently (last year). There was a lot of fantasizing in between (picturing myself dressed en-femme) but only after I was in my late thirties did I finally dress up fully. However this was only after I "came clean" to my wife; so it was she that helped me to dress. If I had ever tried this before I knew her (i.e., dress on my own), I'm not sure how I would have gotten started (especially with makeup). She's the only one in the world (that I see face to face) that knows my inner secret. It does feel better now to occasionally dress as a girl than to just imagine it all the time. It's good to see other girls here that are so nice and supportive to one another. Thanks.

Hi all,

Like Beauty, I started dressing at age 5. I wore my mother's pantyhose and slip, along with a pair of her high heel sandals. I remember clearly: it was very early one morning, before breakfast and here I was, clumping around the kitchen. At the breakfast table, a friend of the family (who was then living with us and who had a room in the basement) asked me what I was doing, banging on the floor so early in the morning. I blushed and just blurted out the first thing that came to mind: I was playing with knives and forks, just banging them on the kitchen tiles. Thus, the lying, secrecy, and shame began.

No, I no longer play with knives and forks (at least not when I'm running and/or wearing heels). :P

Love,
CJ

Hi girls,

I have been told by my mother that I had told everyone that I was a girl about age 2 , this is before I can remember.
I started dressing at about 4 years old with a young female friend.
I believed that I was a girl in a boys body until the age of about 9 when I had a dose of puppy love for a girl in my class.
I lost all interest in becoming a girl by 13 and moved on to desire a girlfriend.
I had still had trouble trying to obtain a relationship at 24 and decided to create the image of a girl by dressing up
( if this world cant supply one I'll make my own )
She's been a part of me ever since

I could answer this as either 7-8 or before 6. When I was in kindergarten, age 5, my mom dressed me as a witch, complete with skirt and pointed hat, but I didn't respond as if this were anything out of the ordinary-- not a real CD experience. In first grade, age 6, my teacher had us in a Thanksgiving play where we wore pilgrim hats and feathered headbands that kept falling off-- she said she'd hold them on with hairpins, a decidedly female accessory; I went home and wore a hairpin to bed to get used to the idea-- I felt very funny, the first cross-dressing feelings I remember. The real change came in second grade, age 7, when our teacher punished boys by making them wear head scarves-- I was never punished, but was fascinated and irresistably attracted to wearing a scarf. So I went home and started trying things on, moved on to everything feminine and was a confirmed crossdresser from that age on.

I guess it was when I was about 5-6 yrs.old and I was asked by my mother one day to help her do the laundry and then for so reason she had to go to my aunt's house and she took my little sister with her and asked if I could finish doing the laundry and that they would be back in a couple of hours and everything was all sorted, she left me a note saying not to mix things up and their stuff was so much softer than mine and daddy's so I didn't really think too much about touching and then some how thinking that nobody was home why not try some of my mom's and sister's things on ............that's all it took and the next thing I remember is that my father was coming through the door and he asked if mom and sis were home and why I was wearing my mom's panties and that he wouldn't say anything if he could watch me dress in some of my sister's dresses and that became our little secret for a few years and I didn't find out until about 10 yrs later that my mother had him dressing for many years beforeand up to that time............. |Love Ya All, Lynn
