You know how it is when something new or exciting happens to you and your best friend rings you are just dying to tell, but there is a problem, it's CD related and they don't know about your secret. This happens to me quite a lot. I would love to be able to say that I have just received a new petticoat or a vintage slip from the USA. What a bitch always having to keep your good news to yourself.
I am fortunate though in that I can tell my sister but I will not overburden her with my excitement with, what for her, would only be small talk news. Does this happen little or often to many of you out there?

I would hope that no matter how small or how big the acomplsihment or purchase, someone here could relate and be happy for you...

Yes I have that feeling. I can usually share it with my wife or on the forum though. That usually makes me feel better.

I try to not share that kind of good news with my GG friends as they tend to want to raid my closet and shoe rack. I keep telling them that, when I no longer value this or that item of clothing or pair of shoes, they'll get dibs. A few months ago, I gave away roughly half my shoe and boot collection; a dozen pairs went to friends and colleagues (yes, women can have large feet, too, you know! ).

Seriously, though, there's a thread on this very forum where people share in the joy their latest purchases brings them. Go check it out.

I to have a sister that I can confide in dicuss the items that I have recently purchased. Just last week, she and I were out shopping for household items for her apartment when I noticed a nice pair if pink open-toe 3/4 inch heals and showed them to her. She gave a nice node of liking them but said that they were too large.. I smiled and said "just the right size" ... She laughed and gave an approving smile. She and I enjoy shopping together and has become more comfortable with shopping. However, she is not ready for a "sisters" shopping day. Just a shopping day even though she knows all and permits me to sleep over as my fem self.
