Today I did something brave.
I sat dressed at my PC, got my webcam out and got on MSN to talk to my best frioend in the entire world...i told him and then went on webcam. We talked for a while, and he was very supportive.
I know its quite wimpy to do it in front of a webcam when someone is a while away. But I came out to my friend. Which made me happy.
Love,
Becca xxxx

Congratulations to both of you!! You for having come out and your friend for supporting you!! Sometimes we don't give others enough credit for thinking ahead of them!!! It is great to have such a friend!

Hi Becca--
Yes, that was brave, and no, it wasn't wimpy. I'd have a harder time with that than if I were in the same room, I think. It's always good to hear about coming out to friends.

Hi Becca,
Why would you call what you did wimpy? I think that's the most courageous thing you can do. Most of us carry such a huge burden by hiding this side of ourselves from those we are close to. (Myself included) So any time I hear someone say they came out to a friend, relative, co-worker, whoever...I say "Congratulations! Way to go, girl!"
The banner you wave is one of bravery, not cowardice.
Hats off to you, Becca, you've earned it.
Hugs,
Kyra

Hiya Becca,
I see nothing wrong with using a web cam to come out to a friend. There's nothing wimpy about it, its very brave. I came out to my best friend in person almost ten years ago. In either case we were taking a risk with our friendship and in both cases we were successful.
I see you are a fellow Aberdonian. I left the Aberdeen TG scene behind about seven years ago. Have you ever attended the 3G Meetings? I used to go there regularly. Give my love to everyone there!
