Women's underwear that looks like men's underwear

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Women's underwear that looks like men's underwear

Post by Jenney Love »

Last night my wife and I where walking through Kmart when we she saw some underwear in the women's section that looked just like men's white briefs, except that the front did not have an opening (It was sewn shut). She asked me would wearing these be crossdressing? I said yes, but probally would not want them myselfs as they are to guy like, and even in full guy mode I do not like tidy whities. So what do you all think?

Begs the reply, Jockey makes a low rise no fly brief for men and I have purchased silk boxers with no fly and I have seen GG's wearing men's boxers with a fly, in place of shorts - does that make the GG's crossdressers? Is it only a fashion statement? I have not seen too many CD'ers wearing "panties" only out in public, even "granny panties."
We, as a society are becoming a bit more androgenous, but we ain't quite there yet! I will stick with my silk panties under whatever I have on from "en drab" to Virginia's wardrobe!!!

I saw what must be a similar style at Wal-Mart the other day. I noticed that they were white and feminine pastel colours, like soft blue & pink. Came with matching camisole or bra. They had a very low rise, I guess to go under the 'hipster' style jeans. To me they were clearly female items, all feminine but boy styled, I guess like the so called 'boy shorts'.

There have been a number of cycles over the years when teenage girls get into a 'little boy' look, but with so much skin exposed that it is totally feminine.

Would it be crossdressing if I wore them? I would say yes, as they are designed to be female. But they don't interest me, in the same way that 'manties' or 'apres noir' don't interest me.

Hi,

I have femme undies that are styled more like men's underwear. I like them. They are comfy and cute too. :)

Hi Beauty
Your reply really made me stop and think. I am now interested in going back for another look, and may get a pair if circumstances are right.

I am surprised at how fast my brain can turn around.

Hi Beauty

Well, I bought them and I do like them. (sam i am)

The marketing was interesting, so I scanned in the tags and put them on my website, along with a photo. I think the 'page wizard' creates a 'thumbnail' and keeps the real image available, which I made a reasonable size.

It is interesting to note that the 'flap' is sewn shut as noted, but is on the 'ladies'' side - opening (if it could) from the left like a blouse.

There are too many images to post in the message, you can see them on my website by clicking the WWW button at the bottom of my post.

Hi All

First, an apology to Beauty and to the group for the way I tried to get the images into the message. It didn't work, and Beauty helped get it fixed. I still don't have it right back there, so I will try again.
The images are on my website, address for that is in my profile.

The main message was the 'promotion info' on the tag. Wording is

1 - Oh Boy - Classic men's style, only more fitted, feminine and fun
2 - Adorable - Cotton and spandex fabric is as irresistible as you are
3 - Tagless - No more itchy, scratch label

If anybody thinks I am perseverating about unimportant topics, please tell me to stop. :)
Thanks

I've heard abouut these. If it actually had a fly (albeit, one sewn shut) than yes I'd agree it's a bit of gender bending. Probably more of getting kick out of wearing some "boy stuff" (and the feelings of power, etc. associated with manhood) than wanting to be a boy.

As far as "boy short" style panties, that's a different matter. They're usually fairly feminine looking and are becoming a popular alternative to thongs, since they also avoid the dreaded visible panty line.

Hi all,

I own a few pairs of Hanes Her Way cotton undies and La Senza hip-hugging, ribbed cotton boxers that I very much like.

Yes, it's still crossdressing, to me. If it's designed for a woman's body, or with feminine fashion in mind, and I wear it, I'm crossdressing. Conversely, if it's designed for a man's body, or with masculine fashion in mind, and I wear it, I'm not crossdressing--no matter how "feminine" the garment may appear (the, uh, "playful," Man-T-Hose pantyhose would be a good example).

Love,
CJ

Ladies Underwear

Post by DeniseL »

Hi:

I prefer Haines her way or Fruit of the Loom white undies. now wear them 24/7 and they fit so much better, and I think the quality better too than mens.
Yes it is Crossdressing to me, and I love every minuet of it

It appears that the Hanes "boy shorts" have a cotton lining. That is a dead givaway it's for a woman.

The Jockey Elance for men would probably be women's underwear except no extra white cotton liner.

This thread has raised an interesting point with my wife. She wear FotL mens boxer briefs because they are more comfortable.

The funny thing is if she found my panties she would freak I'm sure, although I find panties more comfortable.

Cindy, interestingly my wife, soon to be ex, also wears mostly mens "boy leg" briefs. Some of which she got from me. But yet she can not handle my CDing.
