Good evening ladies,
I aways hand wash my lingerie and dry on racks or towels. Washing machines are too harsh and cause premature wear and loss of shape and elasticity. If I put them in woolite or whatever you might use I always put a few spritz of my favorite perfume in the water. After they dry they have a beautiful fragrance of your personal scent. I'm so girly I can't stand myself.

My machine has a handwash cycle, so I'll toss the delicates in a mesh laundry bag and use the machine. Takes too much effort to do them by hand.

There was a time that I actually enjoyed handwashing my lingerie.... but, that was when I was single and had my own place. I'm pretty sure my wife wouldn't be thrilled to see them hanging up to dry.
I use the machine wash on gentle cycle also, with my items in a mesh bag. Good idea on the perfume.... I did add a little a couple times in the machine.... and, yes.... they did smell very nice. I was just worried that doing it too often might break down the material too.
