Isn't it funny...

General talk about CD/TGing and gender topics that aren't necessarily fun things we do while en femme, or for gender-driven discussions.

Isn't it funny...

Post by Kira Dias »

Isn't it funny that women (GG's) run home to take off everything that we long to put on and wear as they do each day. Someone posted a note about all of the things that GG's do to alter their bodies, but it is so painful to me because the very breast(s) they cut off some of us wish we had to access to as we don our feminine selves.

Yes, I understand that women have backaches from their breast aching, but I also belief, that this is a result of their poor conditioning. My mother and grandmother never complained about backaches, and the both have large breasts. Perhaps, if more women longed to have penises, they would know how we feel and we would not be seen as jokes when expressing ourselves as the women dwelling in us.

About a month ago, I was on a break and decided to eat lunch outside my office, as I was crossing the street to return to my office, I saw one of our sisters. This "lady's" hair was cut into a very nice, short style and she wore a denim mini with black fishnet hose. Some people stared, some gawked, and some shook their heads; yet, I was proud and remorseful. Proud, because she had a level courage that had to be admired; however, I was remorseful because I did not have the courage to tell her that she was my sister and join her en femme the next day.

Would I wish this on anyone? Hell no, because I know how hard it was to find the courage to go to the mailbox as Kira...to the post office at 3am...across town but not getting out of the car...and to the corner store (in an area away from my own) to by a soda, just to say I went out as Kira in public. With that, I know how I still feel sad when I cannot get ther desire to go in the grocery store at 3am because there are too many men in the store. I hate this, but love the sensitivity Kira gives me.

My apologies for venting, but GG's really piss me off when they treat their beautiful clothes and bodies like tomorrow's trash. My wife does not understand our struggle, so Kira is a secret, in the fact that she thinks this part of me was cast aside. I would love to feel what she feels when we are intimate, because I just love women so much that their feelings are really important, inasmuch, their lack of interest and appreciation for there own bodies is simplying disgusting to witness. As my wife glides closer to 35, she has the growing breasts, bigger butt, and fuller stomach; I find it beautiful but she hates it. In my opinion, this is so sad, becasue if it were me, I would think I were the epitome of sexy and revel in my womanhood.
Crossdressing is lonely with no group of ladies to share this wonderful gift. Like GE, we bring good things to life!

"The grass is always greener..."

"Familiarity breeds contempt."

etc.

I, for one, truly enjoy my days off from work, the days I don't "have" to shave my body, put on makeup, etc. I can understand where women are coming from in that regard.

Obviously you're hanging out in all the wrong places! Just got back from a weekend in Boston and saw an ocean of beautifully dressed women. Oh how I wished I could have joined them. So nice to see women rediscovering their femininity again and showing it. I'm really enjoying the summer fashions this year. Just have to remember to stay away from airports.

If you want to see women rediscovering themselves come to my city and go to Walmart on a saturday afternoon. You will see 5'2" 200 lb 25 year old women in pink stretch pants with crop tops and stomachs with belly button rings and stretch marks and black thong underwear you don't want to see. And we ladies worry how we look! Look at most women ladies. They look like crap!

Hi girls,

I find it interesting that that anyone that identifies themselves as being a crossdresser would be so judgemental.

Love always,

Elizabeth, that hurt [-X maybe I'm wrong but Jeannie is right, I see it all to often. Maybe it's because my wife makes sure I am dressed like a lady
not like some bimbo. I take pride in the way I dress and one day the world will see Carol Ann, a lady in dress an manner (--) Carol Ann

To quote Virginia's response to Elizabeth:

OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This GG has to agree with the comments made by Jeannie and Carol Ann, and Virginia's frequent comments, on how quite a few gg's don't take pride in their appearance, that they look like Jeannie described above. And it's thoroughly disgusting and an embarrassment to Women everywhere!! [-X [-X

I have always taken pride in my appearance, and would never leave the house dressed like a slob; dressing for 'grubby work' doesn't count, but even then I wouldn't go to the hardware store dressed that way.

Next time you're out - in a Mall, on a public street, at WalMart, wherever! - take a *good* look at how adult women are dressed. True, you will see many women decently dressed, but you will also see a fair number of women dressed like total slobs. No matter what their income level, or lack thereof, women can dress in a decent manner if they so choose. It's all about pride: those that have it, show it, and act it. [-(

And don't anyone even think about taking me to the woodshed. You know I'm right.

Enough said.

And... then take a look to how all the guys are dressed. I challenge you to find a guy who is dressed in what people would call "fancy clothes" (Suit, tie, or just very nice casual clothes well pressed, etc, etc. Heck, even nice clean clothes would be challenging to find!!)

Sure, this is not about how guys look, but lets be fair and say that very few people does take pride of their appareance and dress nicely, specially to go to places like Walmart, for crying out loud!

On my soapbox... fellow CD's... women are not attending to a continous party in which they have to "dress to kill". They have every day normal lives, and they will not be dressing to please anybody most of the time. True, there are slobs (like there are male slobs) but most likely, they don't have a reason to spend more than a few minutes primping themselves just to go and pics kids up from school, or run a quick errand.

They are the real thing... they don't need the external facade to look like who and what they really are.

Just my $0.02 worth.

I've spent most of my life successfully resisting pressure to look "nice' according to what someone else thought men should look like. My favorite being the wear a coat and tie to just about everywhere when I was a kid, moving to wear polo shirts and not sleevelss tee shirts around the girlfriends family when I was older. And back to wear a tie to work even though you're going to be outdoors a lot and its 95 degrees out because we must appear professional. Ad nauseum. I am not about to inflict any kind of similar judgement on women. If you think I look like a slob and it bothers you then don't look at me.

I'm not being judgemental but honest. Most men and women don't take any time to look nice. It doesn't take a lot of time or money for people of any size or shape to look nice. You just feel better. That's all. I fall off the fashion wagon all the time but I have fun with the clothes I wear. I look like crap dressed as a guy! Maybe I'll put a picture of me in drab in my gallery but I don't want to scare any little kids or the elderly!

I have to agree with you all that point out dressing sloppy is not limited to one gender.

I've seen both men and women out and about that look TERRIBLE! They could not have looked in the mirror before they left, or maybe somehow, they just don't find anything wrong with looking that way.

I do see many more GGs that look nice than men though. Even if you're just going casual in jeans, etc... you can still put together a cute look.

On the brighter side... I too have noticed more women wearing skirts and dresses lately. A receptionist at one of my clients offices always looks sooooo cute and sharp. She wears a skirt or dress everyday. I complimented her on her look, she told me she didn't have to dress that way for work, but she likes too. She said she prefers to wear those and look great everyday.

Here's to her... and I hope her style rubs off on others! I personally would LOVE to dress like her everyday!

Ok, I won't argue there are an ample number of people (both men and women) out there who look like slobs. Living where I do, I see my fair share of those slovenly folks. That said, while I would prefer to see people look nice, they aren't dressing for my pleasure or critique. If they choose to dress that way, then in my book, they simply won't get the mental recognition I would bestow upon them or impart in a comment to others.

Now when I do see a nicely dressed woman, it gets my attention, whether it's because of her physical beauty or simply her attractiveness in that outfit. Looks rarely factor in if I think they simply look very nice and presentable in something that caught my attention. In my earlier post, I mentioned an 'ocean' of beautifully dressed women because that was the reality of what I was observing. Perhaps an anomaly to you folks but a reality nonetheless. How one defines beautifully dressed could be argued based upon personal styles and preferences. If a woman looks sexy in what she is wearing, whether a nice pair of jeans and top or a mini skirt, it gets my attention. I'll readily admit to imagining how I would look in that outfit but the simple joy of seeing women wearing clothes that are overtly pretty and feminine is worthy of note for this gal. I don't agree that most women today don't take pride in their appearance. Perhaps a few years ago that may have held true but I have seen a definite improvement this year. We shouldn't confuse a lack of pride with practicality because as Gaby said, ...women are not attending to a continous party in which they have to "dress to kill". They have every day normal lives, and they will not be dressing to please anybody most of the time. ...but most likely, they don't have a reason to spend more than a few minutes primping themselves just to go and pics kids up from school, or run a quick errand.
