:) :) :) :) Hello lovely ladies

Yes I know here she goes again, another question???
O.k passion for fashion, how many of you ladies like the latest fashion in clothes, lingerie and shoes.

How many of you are stuck in a time warp for fashion???

How many of you wish a particular era in time was brought back into fashion.

I'm a 42 year old woman, who loves the 40's style of clothing,I adore the stockings with the seams at the back.My mother used to have the most beautiful clothes and I remember getting dressed in her clothes when she gave us to them for dressups.

I also love the gear of the 60's you know the gear from the series "Heartbeat".

Anyway I give you all big hugs,
Penni

I personally LOVE to look fashionable, but I do only go with things I like.

Some of the latest fashions just don't do it for me, and of course, so many of those will go right back out of style. So, I don't want to waste my money on clothes that I think won't be around long.

I do also love the 40s, 50s, and 60s look too. But alot of those are somewhat timeless, so you really can't go wrong. Stockings and garters are always in style!

I am so glad the low rise, boot cut or flare leg jeans came back. I LOVE that look, and the fit on me is perfect!

I don't worry about the lastest fashions per say. I like what I like, whether anyone esle does or not makes no never mind.

As for a certain era of fashion, I'm not stuck on any one era. There are items from the 50's I like, as well as the 60' and 70's, etc.

My only problem is being to big for what I like.

The '50's are my weakness, as if you can't tell from the full skirts and petticoats. Nothing more femme than June Cleaver or Donna Reed.

I go more for style than fashion -- i.e. things that will look good on me, rather than what's trendy -- but I'd say my interests are pretty contemporary.

I look at the pretty, thin, young girls and drool a bit - not for the girls so much as for their clothes and how they wear them so becomingly. Envy! Sheer envy!

I am with Marlena, however, and go for a style that suits my body and age. I also like things that are not too confining, avoiding tight skirts, for example. I have a fair collection of tops, blouses, and skirts that I wear mostly. I have no idea what geological period these clothes represent, but I think they are quite acceptable. My SO is a great help, but finds that, unlike when in drab, I color coordinate nicely.

Hugs,

Lydia

I guess that the era that I seem to love is "Anne of Green Gables" time frame. What A classy look.

I also go for style more then fashion. Fashion changes to often for me. I love the look of the eighties and early 90's. It is not shocking as I was a kid then.

Preppie (with a hippie accent)

Hello all: Nasty rain and wind outside-- so no "dressing" today. (I do not drive).

But anyhow, as ironic as it may seem, for someone whose politics are lefty-greeny , the styles that seem to work best for me are sort of "preppie:" sweater and box pleat skirt combos; peter pan collar blouses and knee length (or so) "A line" skirts, cardigan sweaters over a turtle-neck top with pants or appropriate skirt, blazer over turtle-neck top with plaid "A line" or "circle" skirt -- I'll give outfits like that a "hippie" accent with a peace sign pendant, and long-ish straight-ish wig, and/or a political button or two.

Peace'n'luv-- Kendra Lynn.
