Stockings and Garters

I LUUURVE stockings, garters, heels and frilly slips -- the kind of thing dear Ma used to wear when I was a young and impressionable boy. My question for younger (than I) CDers: Are you turned on by stockings and garters, even though you grew up in a pantyhose world?

Hi Jeanne,
Oh no my dear I am a stocking and garter girl all the way, hate pantyhose.
Maybe because like you I grew up on them and pantyhose were not invented.
Oh my now I'm giving my age away.

Jeanne...

When you say younger, how young are we talking? I know everyone is younger than Carol Ann, just kidding, you know that didn't mean it (much) ha ha ha

I only wear hose.....pantyhose are a pain. I wear a lot of theigh hi's and some that need garters.

Well, I'm not quite 49 yet, and I absolutely LURVE stockings and garters, myself.

I like the stay up stockings, no garters needed, and easier to hide under trousers, just have to adjust every now and then.

As to the turn on thing, I love when my wife wears them, we even have some matching pairs for special fun nights.

A lady does not reveal her age. However, you might be able to work it out. Pantyhose made their debut in the early 1960s in Britain. I was well past puberty then, with my tastes fixed by the styles of the fifties.

I asked the question because I wondered to what extent 'imprinting' influences what one likes to wear. My earliest sexual experiences, both solo and with accompaniment, involved learning to manage the intricacies of pouffy petticoats, stockings, suspender belts and the rest. The simpler fashions of the later sixties -- anybody remember Mary Quant? -- left me cold. (literally on some occasions.)

I LUUURVE stockings and garter belts also, but have a really difficult time getting them to hook on those rubber things. I wear thigh highs mostly, when it is cooler outside that is.

As far as heels, I'm 6' and they make me too tall. I love to wear them at home but I'll never go out with them. I also love silky slips, again a colder weather item.

Hi, ya'll -
Jeanne wrote:Are you turned on by stockings and garters, even though you grew up in a pantyhose world? - - {Emphasis added by SL}
I find it very interesting reading all the responses, but so far only 1 person has realized the intent of the author's question and answered it accordingly. The question did not ask whether you prefer wearing stockings/garters or pantyhose. Instead, the question, as worded, implies that you are 'sexually excited' ("turned on") by wearing stockings and garters!!

This sexual implication is further expounded upon in the author's second post ". . . My earliest sexual experiences, both solo and with accompaniment, involved learning to manage the intricacies of pouffy petticoats, stockings, suspender belts and the rest. The simpler fashions of the later sixties -- anybody remember Mary Quant? -- left me cold. (literally on some occasions.)"

Now, if ya'll get sexually excited by stockings/garters, that's great . . . . but, based on your responses to the author's question, it is evident that most of you have misread or misunderstood the question entirely!!

Just my 2c.

PS: Carol Ann - I don't think of you as the 'Grandmother' for the Forum, nope, not even a Great-Grandmother. [-( But, since you admit that Abe Lincoln had dinner with you, you might be our Great-Great-Grandmother (with emphasis on you being a really great-great person)!! Love ya, girlfriend!! <>

I must go back to school and learn to read again.......you were right on the money.......I for one didn't read the whole thing and/or choose to not to try to understand the question.

Thanks for pointing that out to me

Sorry if I was out of order in asking a too-bold question. I try to be honest and direct about my own responses. For me dressing is frankly sexual. I don't think of myself as a woman in the wrong body. I'm a man who likes to become his own sex object at times. Although my early experimentation was solitary, I now share my (proclivities? tastes? desires?) with my SO, who likes them, and that is the best of all worlds.

And while I'm at it, since this thread is about beginnings, mine is probably commonplace: At age eight or nine I was obliged to wear my sister's knickers under a cat costume for Halloween. I remember my sister giggling about it with her friends. When puberty arrived, my mother's stockings became objects of great interest. The skid of nylon against nylon still gives me chills.

It was decades before I came out to anyone (SO) and started to put it all in proportion. In my case a lot of self-loathing was entangled with my desire/compulsion to cross dress. Coming out was a milestone in self-realisation. Now if I could only control my addiction to cute little things from EBay..........

Silverlady - I am guilty also.

Jeanne - So, in answer to your question, ahem... yes wearing stockings and garter turns me on, as well as does thigh highs!

No, I don't think you were out of order in asking your question, and I'm sorry that you thought otherwise!

I just wanted to point out that most of the responses did not realize the intent of your question, so those responses may be inaccurate.

Your question was not to bold, IMHO, just because we can't read does not mean it was a bold question.......no to answer it correctly........wearing hose is a turnon for me.........I love the feeling of them rubbing together.....when my wife wears them with a garter belt, yes it is sexy......

Ask any question you want....If it is to bold, someone will let you know.......

I am not turned-on specifically by nylon hose (and, particularly not by panty hose, which I hate), though they do add a certain charm, along with high heels, to a feminine outfit. They sort of round it out, or finish the image.

What I am turned-on by is panties (silky, lacy brief panties) and slips. Partiicularly, by very silky, delicate, and lace trimmed full slips, and to a lesser degree, by half-slips.
