!!!yes!!! with JoAnn, we need more positive stories with supportive friends and family. TG people need to hear these stories to understand there's nothing wrong with them. Non-TG people need to hear these stories to understand we live and breathe in the same world as them. Everyone needs to hear we're ordinary people who aren't necessarily the same as everyone else. Most of all, they simply need more exposure to good news involving TG people.

Thank you Donna for posting this fabulous (and very recent!) article.

That is one of the best articles I have read concerning gender issues.I must admit to being amazed by the level of acceptance Michelle has recieved. It makes me wonder and gives a little hope at the same time.

Well I tried to post a comment but it would not accept it something about Java script ------ never mind!

Yes, it is nice to see stories like that and they are fortunately becoming more frequent and those of our sisters who do take the final big step, I know all we can do is wish them "God Speed!" and that we know from whence they came and we feel fortunate to have seen them on their journey.

The other thing is although it is nice to see success, for us that remain, usually by choice, on the CD continuum, we need to stay strong and fight the DSM folk who may still want to label us as defective, brain damaged, or whatever definition they want to put on us!!!!!

Head Up, chest out, big smile! ----- Its show time!!!!!

Love,

Virginia

Thank you for posting that story Donna, it was not only well written but very informative reading. I suppose that it can be said that California has some odd policies, but like others as shown in this article are very progressive and honestly good policy such as how they deal with relationships and name changes,
