Today i was shopping as a male and i didnt know until i got to the mall that it was one of Victorias secret big sales. Anyway as I was digging threw a box of undies a sales women asked if i needed any help finding anything. No big deal of corse i said no. But then she asked if i know what my sizes are. I was suprised i just said i have a good idea but i asked her if my sizing was correct by telling her what my waist and hip mesurements are and she said i was right on with med. which is what i always buy. but i have never been asked this in the atleast dozen times i have gone to VS and i know that statment probly makes it seem like they would recongize me but this was an accociate i have never seen. so what dose everyone think is this to go as a good time or be more carful about shopping?

Alicia, two things. First I have not had any problems shopping at VS either in male or femme modes. They have always been at least professional and usually better. I have been asked a couple of times at VS in male mode if I wanted to try on the bra I was being helped with or carrying.
Secondly, it is my opinion that how others interact and accept what you are doing starts out with you. Your personal acceptance comes out in your comfort attitude aura that you give off through your actions and interactions with others.

Very good time, IMHO. And it's good that you answered as you did.

A good SA will try to sell to anyone. By asking and giving your size, she was hoping to get a sale. Selling to either sex is an increase in business. I was asked my size for nylons at one-haynes-place.

i think many SA know what we're doing when we are browsing thru their department. it might just take more guts for them to make a statement that discloses that to us than we show just being there.
i had a great experience with a JCPenney an older SA a year or so ago. i had browsed their collection looking for 40B bra's without too much luck. after about 20 minutes she came up and asked what size i was looking for and, after referring to my 'list', i told her [i usually carry a blank slip of paper, my 'shopping list', when shopping in drab alone].
Well, she took me around to several collections with that size and described the general types and styles in each collection. she then gave me space to pick out several bra's. The way i carefully examined each of them i'm sure she knew they were for me.
I finally found two bra's that fit the bill. when i took them up she commented on how nice they looked and she liked the colors, you know, the normal gal talk she probably has for all her clients. she never asked if they were mine and never said anything that directly implied they were mine, but she just said things in a way that told me she knew... as she finished up she asked if there was anything else "I" needed, that i should feel free to come in again and that she is always willing to help me. forgot her exact words but the implication was that she understood and would like to help. i suspect she may have been suggesting using the fitting room.
of course, she may like to help gals like us in distress but i'm sure she'd also like the sales...
over the years, i been there hundreds of times and never got this feeling... lately, since my wife retired i've been shopping in drab with my wife so i haven't had the chance to visit this SA again...
