Makeup Tips.

Post by JoAnnDallas »

A couple of tips to keep in mind:

A close shave is easier to get with a traditional razor blade such as
Gillette's MACH 3 ($9) which has a triple blade system, rather than an
electric shaver. This will provide your face with the smoothest
surface possible with less irritation for your makeup.

Full coverage foundation is your friend. This will help to even out
the skin tone and provide a proper base for color application.

I agree JoAnn. I use the 5-blade Gillette and it does a great job. After I finish I do take an ice cube and rub it over the newly shaved area a few times, pat it dry then apply my moisturizer let set then apply my foundation.

It's "look pretty time!"

I'm not so sure... I have one of those electric Braun non-circular shavers and I have to say that nothing could possibly shave my neck so closely and especially my upper lip which somehow never lets itself be tamed by bladed razors.

Then again, it might be because I really so reek at shaving with blades (5-7 cuts everytime I shave my legs, even with the best cream, ect. That's why I stick with Veet-like products. )
