I got an email from Dillard's yesterday about this new product from Lancome. It's a motorized mascara wand called "Oscillation". They claim that the back-and-forth action replicates the correct stroke for proper application.

I saw that and all I could think about was Larry the Cable Guy. Bringing the "Git 'er done" philosophy to a whole new level. I've been accused of putting on foundation with a trowel before, but this is ridiculous.

Hey - I've got that oscillation built in. It's called essential tremor. All I have to do is bring the mascara wand up to the lashes, and my hand vibrations do the rest.
Unfortunately these shakes and my lousy vision combine to paint my ears with mascara.
At any rate, I have saved $34.
Hugs,
Lydia

Geez, my hand is fairly steady and I still get mascara on my eye occasionally. I can't imagine what I'd do if the wand vibrated!
Still, if anyone has tried this type of product, I'd like to hear the feedback.

Vibrating Mascara
I think I've seen a review of something like this. The general thought was that the best way to apply mascara is to move the wand back and forth and so it this gave better coverage to the lashes.
