Talking about terminology, over here in the UK we don't use the word 'purse' for a bag. We just call it a handbag or just bag. A purse is what we keep our money and cards in.

As Lydia says, no one gives a second look at men carrying bags in continental Europe. It hasn't caught on as much here in the UK but unless the bag was especially girly looking people don't take much notice or just assume it's a 'man-bag'....which, BTW Kay, I hate that term too....just 'bag'should suffice.

Now Kay....You shouldn't have mentioned monkeys and bags....You got me looking at the Kipling shop and now I need one in my life.....grrrr

The 'Joanne S' in light brown or pink, is absolutely gorgeous, and the monkey is sooo cute! I want it and I want it now!

It's been ages since I've seen a bag I 'must have'! I will be dropping some (not so) subtle hints in the near future :haha: :haha: :haha:
