Can any of you gals recommend somewhere in the Sherman Oaks/Studio City area of southern california where I can get some help with my hair?
I can't be full time fem but I have a great head of hair and my wife is willing to let me grow it out but I need some help in trimming and styling as it grows.
The challenge is that I need to find a good compromise between my need to be fem and working as male. I am in the entertainment business so I have a lot of latitude hair wise.
So if anyone can recommend someone it would be great.
Thanks so much,
Marlene

I love being able to use my own hair en femme and I suspect you'll enjoy it every bit as much. I'm afraid I can't recommend anyone in your area, but I can say that from my experience it's harder to get a stylist to create a whole new style that blends feminine and masculine characteristics. It's much, much easier to just convince them you're looking for a completely feminine style and make that work for you in both modes.
If you have some latitude as you've indicated, making just about any hair look suitable for boy mode isn't that hard. Dry it and drag a comb through it and you're done. Convincing girl styling takes more artistry, but it's fun to learn. Whatever you do end up doing, please let us know!
