Attractiveness

Post by Absaroka »

I belong to a group where a great many of the members are women (getting in touch with my feminine side again?) The majority of the women in this group are fat and ugly. In anything at all revealing they probably look hideous, in fact some of them are downright disturbing to look at. I suspect many of them never go to the beach, and know that some of them have reluctance to go out in public more than absolutely neccesary.

They come to this group to lose weight. Many are morbidly obese and will likely die decades earlier than they should because they are so fat. But they stay because they learn that no matter how much they weigh, inside in their soul they will always be fat and ugly. So after they lose the weight they have to learn to think of themselves as attractive. And since they will hopefully get old they will lose the physical attractiveness anyway. They stay to learn not to hate themselves.

A lot of them hope that if they eat enough they will die and be done with this. Some get impatient and try stronger methods.

The bottom line is that they learned early in life that ugly is bad. Ugly is less than. As an aside, fat is ugly, but there are ugly non obese people who have the same issues. But these are people who spend their lives believing that because they are fat and ugly they do not deserve anything good in life.

If someone here want's to post that they themselves look hideous or should not be seen in public, by all means please do so. But next time anyone wants to post about someone else looking hideous and shouldn't go out in public looking like they do, please instead do this. Post that you yourself are so immature, insecure and judgemental that you've bought into societies lies about attractiveness equalling worth and that you had trouble looking at one of God's creations.

Just for the record, I look okay as a guy. I look incredibly stupid in a dress. So what?

Phew! glad you got that off your chest. "Fat and Ugly" now the two do not need to go together, it is quite possible, and not unusual to be fat and beautiful, indeed I can think of very few people who are actually ugly. Fat and unhealthy now they go together, I went to a Weight Watchers group (other sliming groups are available) for the best part of a year and lost the weight I wanted to through changing my eating habits, I was struck by how many of the women there were real “lookers”, many of those who had lost the weight they wanted to kept going as part of their way of maintaining the resistance to their temptations, it was their support group.

It is because of society’s acceptance of a very narrow definition of beauty that people lose their self worth over appearances. Now I will accept your challenge there have been occasions when I have looked hideous and probably shouldn’t have gone out in public, mostly as results of injury or illness, although I’m not sure the Roger Rabbit suit was a good choice. Having said all that every now and then I will see someone as I’m out and about and wonder if they actually own a mirror.

They say that beauty is only skin deep, but ugly is to the bone. A sad comment from how the world views things. I think that some of the greatest beauty in the world can not be seen because skin gets in the way.
So I concluded that there is nothing better for people than to be happy and to enjoy themselves as long as they can. People should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of there labor, for these are gifts from God.

Paula I suspect they own a mirror and hate looking in it a lot more than anyone else dislikes looking at them.

I too lost a lot of weight. I wasn't really all that concerned about appearance, it was more for health reasons. And it makes sense to not feel good about self harm, which is what overeating is for someone who is obese. But I didn't feel the self loathing that some of the women in that group feel, at least not about my weight and appearance.

This thread was prompted by some of the comments in the leggings thread.

From experience, it's certainly easier to be fat or ugly than it is to be attractive.

I'll just keep trying to not be fat and not be ugly, but whatever happens, I'll still have the right dress to wear with me.

When I get dolled up I can still see Bob in the mirror. However I have received plenty of female type compliments when I have been out from total strangers. This has lead me to believe I pass well enough.

I venture out in public with no undue excitement, even from teenage boys and girls.

Am I attractive? I cannot see it but others seem to think I am. I am not out to attract anyone when I dress. It's all part of the image I am aiming for.

If others take pleasure from my appearance then all well and good. I have received some late night drunken wolf whistles from young men which amused me. No harm done.

Gee as I age =D> I too am getting fat around the middle but as I look around me as I am out I see about 85% of all GG are on the plump size.

I don't find them ugly as we shop in the plus size :P , none of my mirrows have broken yet and my wife also tells me I still look like a man in dress. I still go out and have no problem blending in with all the little over weight girls  .

Present yourself properly and thats all others see, go forth girl.

We are all brain washed so the sell more ,from baby to old we get the look and roll models that imprison us for life.
We must slim down because of health reasons mmm that could be so, but our food is made as profitable as possible with additives that who know what can do.
I find most on the catwalk downright ugly brrr.As most of the stars in natural state.
But back to cd land :) I always try to look objective to a person ,first with a al day view ,and in that view not many score high both CD ,GG and GM alike. Then I look at clothing does it combine and does it show what the wearer want (ok what I think lol not always ask ) as you can dress to blend in or stand out .
Then I look at behavior, movements and stand .i try to judge on this three as we all diver in our body look . I find myself in both roles ugly not that I am so fat but overweight yes.
But must admit that in girl mode I find myself not to bad .
Find it great to design cloths try out shapes, colors and fit them :) specially for the not standard shape. But must admit that its hard to get a good shape in bigger sizes, stil learning to do that good.
The eye sees faithfully, but our brain's image processor lies.
