last week I went out to find a red belt to match my red shoes to wear with my black dress. I didn't find a red belt, but I found a red dress so I bought that
I do know of a really nice shop here in Sofia that has a lot of belts, and handbags, I bought a purse there a few weeks ago. I need to go back and get some belts.

Those and the narrow ones too. If you haven't been wearing your belts because they are "out of fashion", you should not worry about it. Your friends will tell you when to give them up. Everyone can't dress the current trends and not everyone wants to. Just enjoy what fits, is comfortable and looks good on you -- including belts.
Myself, I'd wear the belts but all the clothes that provide the belt have them at the women's waist which tend to be on me about half way between an empire waist and my waist. Not so good a look....

A belt can be of more use than holding up your trousers. It can raise or lower the waist, or indeed help create the image of one wen there is none. A nice wide belt worn high can emphasise a waist and make the legs look longer, nirvana.
