This topic might be more targeted towards teen MtFs, but I'm not really sure. Anyway, I'm just curious on how different people do their makeup when they go from MtF. Thanks!! ^_^

Re: Makeup?
there are lots of places and blogs on the internet giving advice on this I'm not sure that you can get a lot better than STana of Femulate fame http://www.femulate.org/search/label/beauty%20regimen" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; As a general rule I think the make up we use shoudl reflect that worn by GGs of our own age and style ~ apart from start with a really good shave, and use a beard cover or concealer to cover up any shadow. I freely admit that I haven't got this fully sorted yet but I am trying to resist the temptatin to use too much make up. However I do notice that teenage daughter and her friends are wearing much more makeup than my generation, so maybe for you youngsters more is OK.

Re: Makeup?
I want to jump in, but for some reason (yeah, it's operator error I'm sure), I can't see the original post. If we're talking about kids, it depends on why they think they need make up as to why they should have it at all. If we are talking about us, same answer
The rule with makeup used to be less was best. Makeup that doesn't look like makeup but makes you look like a better you. Sound familiar? I see in the fashion mags and TV commercials, eyes are big canvasses again. Lips have lots of choices for colors too. If you want to know what your makeup should be, look at the GGs around you that are around your age and decide if you want that look or not. Myself, I tend to do my eyes up a bit more than the ladies my age because I am still loving the fun of the colors etc. I also wear glasses so my eyes are muted by them. My lips don't look good in most reds and pinks, but do better with a shade or two darker than my natural color and certainly do well with plums when I want an evening shade. Oh yeah, there is a day look and an evening out look.
For my face? Less is best and again, my blushes do better in the plum family. I have a terrible time with shadow so I'm using an industrial strength foundation -- really, it originated in the theatrical industry -- I use dermablend. Once my foundation is on as minimal as possible for full coverage, then I add the rest to make that better me. With all of us girls, GGs included, we can have our bad makeup days with too much or too little. Practice makes us more consistent, but we will all goof it up one day or another.

Re: Makeup?
I have to say that it really depends on the occasion. Also, keep in mind that I don't really switch modes, I don't do guy mode vs girl mode.
I always wear women clothes, the style and form depending on what's happening. To work I will wear slacks and nice top and do my make-up carefully but not extravagant. If I go out in the evening I might wear a black dress, wig, and do my make-up a little more extravagantly. Today when I go for lunch I'll probably wear a jean skirt and light cool top and just put on lipstick and maybe some blush. Nobody will be convinced that I'm a woman, but I'm not trying for that, just to look nice.
