Nail Polish

Post by Martha G »

When I go to a party in costume as a femake historical figure, I usually wear long gloves.

Sometimes I would like to go to a costume party simply dressed as a woman.

Should i wear nail polish? Or pop on nails.

What would be a good color for either.

Would appreciate some advise.

Thanks.

In my opinion, it's thumbs down on glue-on fake nails. I usually go with a not-too-loud nail color, on my natural nails, which I try to keep in presentable condition.

Color would depend on what the outfit was and looked like; and whether or not you wanted them noticed.

Just remember to put a clear base coat down first, as it make removal of the polish easier.

Thanks girls!

There may be some costume parties that I would rather just dress as a woman rather than a fancy costume.

But in essence I would be in a viable costume dressing enfemme so the nail polish would definitely be needed. What woman would want not to have her nails pretty!

No matter what color you decide for your fingers in terms of leaving it on when drab, your toes are fair game for any color and for leaving it on.

yes you definitely want your nail polish to match your outfit, at the very least it should match your top. 'course I'm guilty of not always changing my nail polish when I should.....
Davita is right about the toes though, as long as you're not wearing open toes shoes, in which case the fingers and toes should match. And I'm guilty of that right now too :(
