Alexia,

I'm happy that you have confidence and knowledge of a tape measure to find a proper bra size. Band and cup size is only the place to start. The right style is equally important. I'm sure you've seen woman that wear bras that don't fit their, um, breasts. Ever seen a quadraboob? Spillage over the top looks like four breasts. Two more, you're a cow.

Rarely do women of meager means go for a bra fitting, even when they should. A CD may like to do so not only for the proper fit and style, but to treated like a women in a very feminine type of shape wear.

Wait until you upgrade to silicone breasts. I think they cost too much, but probably worth it in the long run. That lacy little bra you love won't hold the 'girls' in place.
Bras serve two functions, one for support and comfort. The other is to please the observer.

This is a long subject but seems like a lot of fun and also educational
Don't forget that CDs need the bra fitting in person
so they don't keep "buying and trying" That can get very expensive. Better to bring your forms and have a
fitting and pay a bit more..
I agree that we do like putting ourselves in the shoes of a woman and see what its like.

You're right Janet this has been a long running post. Never in my wildest imagination would I have guessed this would stay active as long as it has. Yes having a fitting for does allow girls like us to at least experience a bit of what is like to be a "real" girl. More importantly as has been raised here and in other postsbras can be very uncomfortable at times due to heat, humidity, etc. At least a well fitting bra does alleviate some of that.

I'm actually looking into that right now, getting 'proper' breast forms.
I've explained elsewhere I had a nasty experience with some silicone breast enhancers, so I'm a bit wary of that.
But I may have to, if just to get a better feel for the experience of having real breasts.
It may mean I'll have to shop for a whole new arsenal of bras, however. :?
Oh, who am I kidding, I'd love that, aside from the costs. :)

Disregarding any outside, real life, consequences, if it was just up to me, I'd start hormone treatment in a heartbeat.
I would love to have real, natural breasts, no matter what size they turned out to be.
The other effects also sound very attractive to me.
If I ever do go there, then yes, I will get fitted, I know it is important to have a properly fitting bra, when you have real breasts. :)

But it isn't that easy, unfortunately, so I'll be spending quite a lot of time thinking all of this over.

Hi Alexia.. think about making an appointment at a shop that fits you for breastforms.
It will save you money in the long run. Then you willl have fun in shops being fitted for the perfect bra.

I think it is still a bit too early for me for that.
I've only just started to experiment a little with make-up and my hair is still only around the longest it has ever been, which is around the time people start telling me to go visit a hairdresser, but this time I'm going to ignore them.
I've not even shaved my legs or anything.
I would feel ill at ease doing something like that now.
I haven't ever gone outside while crossdressed except that one time when I was young.

For someone who is a bit further along, I can imagine it feeling a lot different, like a rite of passage maybe.
But for me, I'd fall apart, I think.

I just bought some more women's clothes, a make-up kit and a brush, so I need to save up a bit more before doing anything else.
Maybe next month I'll look into breast forms a bit more, maybe I won't until later.
But I kind of like the idea of buying like an a, b and a c cup or bigger, to see the effect.
I really don't care about the money, haven't for a long time.
I will need to start saving up for other things soon enough, so I'm going to indulge myself for a little while longer.

In a year or so, if I have made a decision on where I want to go with this, or am close to, I may go outside while crossdressed, even if only once on Halloween or something.
Then I might feel very different.

A few times I've thought about doing that; it would certainly give me a lot more options than a size 42A does! Would you recommend any place in particular in NJ?
