My other dresses arrived today the connection to the web is up in a previous thread one dark blue floral, and one in navy polka dot. I was drab but had to try them on, I still have not opened the polka dot which I think will be fun, kind of cute and feminine and playful ... why do we wear dresses anyway? These are fit and flair style and fall just above the knee the kind of dresses I have always dreamed about and at my age they are still appropriate while younger styles with the hem 6-8 inches above the knee are kind of out for me. I have never had a desire to dress like a hooker with 8" stilettos and lots of red vinyl or perhaps black leather barely covering me...fishnets etc...

My style is mainstream contemporary so I take the hint by looking at what other women are wearing...is that the "herd" mentality? No, not really, women have a sense of style that's all and they want to fit in with current trends but this does not rule out comfortable old favorites.

Anyway...Instead of being at 164.5 I am at 166.7 but these dresses fit fine, when I close the little belt that come with them I am reminded I need to drop 3 pounds because the belt is snug but not tight but I certainly need to lose those 3 pounds...I'm getting fat! I am still in my weight range of 164.5 to 167.5 and... I could lose down to 159 though people keep telling me you don't need to lose anymore weight. Still I remember an old calorie counting book that stated I should be in the mid 150's, 154 I think was the recommended weight for myself at 5' 9.5" and medium frame for a male.

Anyway these dresses are again...well made, come with 3 faux buttons at the top center of the bodice with a scoop neckline. And they come with a little belt. The material is kind of like a knit or polyester but there is no stretch but there is elastic at the waist. Again Perfect and I am quite satisfied. These will be perfect for around the house though who really wears dresses around the house? Well I do for one..

It may be as time passes...you know we have been denied pretty dresses and many want to discourage our going out in public. Hence not having had the same experiences as girls growing up I think it will take some time for us to acclimate? no longer feel this deep seated feeling that we have been denied something we always wanted? I think at some point maybe or maybe not...we will of course always enjoy relaxing in a dress around the house but will like all women gravitate toward more practical femininity at home in our clothing choices...who knows?

For right now I am quite happy, thrilled with my new dresses. Have a nice day girl friends!!!
