Watching Youtube videos, ladies doing car maintenence...

Post by Lacey Hadley »

Not really about fashion and beauty, but some thoughts and tips.

I was looking around Youtube and came across some automotive advice and tips, with ladies doing car stuff dressed up in fancy clothes and heels. [ HOWSTUFFINMYCAR WORKS]. A video doing a tire change and a video doing an oil change.

My thoughts on the tire change, JoJo Cottle changing a tire wearing a miniskirt, blouse and high heels. The point was you as a girl are dressed up for a night out or such by yourself or with GF's and you must change a flat tire, while dressed girlie/fancy. JoJo takes us through doing it all in a mini skirt an high heels and damn she does a fine job. Of course us as CDers and other T-girls have come to know what it's like to be in heels and in skirts /dresses much like GG's do. To see a gal like JoJo work as such in heels is impressive. Pulling out a spare tire from the trunk of the car in heels and even though JoJo looks totally competent, she is not Hulk Hogan and is maybe 115lbs, puling a tire out in heels is again impressive, she didn't even break a nail :eeeek: I know with a typical male's strength doing so in a pair of heels would be more of an effort than say typical trainers/running shoes. She completed it all dressed as such and I'd say is damn good advice to GG's showing that you can change a tire even nicely dressed. I even got a good piece of advice as a male. She took a floor mat and put it on the ground to kneel on to do said work, Huh! I never thought about that even as a guy in drab.

I was thinking though and a couple of tips for GG's, TG's and CD's who may go out nicely dressed and in heels too. Yes, you can call for an auto service, but why not prepare for such. Besides having a car jack, tire iron and a properly inflated spare (have ya checked yours lately? ) I suggest maybe keep a disposable set of coveralls rolled up in the trunk and a pair of cheap flats to wear instead of trying to do such with pretty heels on. Also keep some automotive work gloves too so you do not hurt your hands, or damage a nicely manicured nail or two.

I thought this was going to some kind of 'sexy girl works on cars' video. Except that the lug nuts were obviously pre loosened, it was informative. My daddy never let us kids drive before we knew how to change a tire and jump start a battery. Stuck on a lonely road waiting for a good Samaritan is dangerous for both men and women.
We also keep a working flashlight, latex gloves, some clean rags, and those reflective triangles in all our cars.

Thanks Lacey!

Hi.

I drove trucks and long distance bus,s and pretty much any thing on wheels , did running repairs for other sight see,ers who cooked thier water hose,s or needed help to keep them going , and tires , on country roads and still do if needed,

I,m not so sure about the mini skirt or heels part. as I allways have my flates on board , some of our wagons don't have the tire in a boot as they are underneath at the back so that means a drop sheet on the ground lay on your back to get it out and put it back. and change the tires , mind you I carry all the gear to do repairs ,

The last major I had was a 15 ton truck our own one of two loaded to the hilt, and lost the brakes with 300 miles to go. so had to do disconnect the brakes to drive on and with a few hills ...lot,s...., go through Christchurch city, , and we got home , all driving on the eng alone for stoping ,

so guys this chic is well accustomed to knowing what to do snow ice and slipping on ice with grit on top, hills of cause.

I wont say my hands are clean for long , and I don't do pretty for long so driving is and can be a mucky day out, still I get to where I need to.
