Can I get some help with hosery color.... I just got a new top to wear with my jean skirt. The top has smaller flowers of light pink, dark pink, orange and olive on it. The only shoes I currently have to wear with it is a pair of black flats.
My question is do i wear black or suntan trouser socks with it??

Hi, Kimberly -
First - what color is the blouse itself?
Second - I presume the skirt is long and comes down to your ankles? Does it have a split of any kind?
Personally, I would wear suntan (especially during the warmer months) - and pantyhose (possibly thigh-highs) even if it was a long skirt, and especially if it had a split of any kind. I rarely wear the knee-high hose (aka trouser socks), but if I do it's only with slacks or jeans - and never with a skirt or dress, even if it does come down to my ankles.
Shoes - even with the black flats you can wear suntan hose. If the new top is a lighter color, this would give you the perfect reason to buy another pair of flats in white or natural - natural will give you more opportunity to wear them with other outfits and even into the 'cooler' months.

PS: OK, my friend - and why did you not post this question for the GG's?

That's okay - I just have to
you a bit!!

SilverLady to answer your questions:
First - what color is the blouse itself? It has a base of a white/cream color, but there is not much of that color as it is mostly the flowers which are all about a size of 3/8 to 1/2 inch dowel. (how is that for a guy explaination of size... Hee hee hee. javascript:emoticon(':P')
Razz
Second - I presume the skirt is long and comes down to your ankles? Does it have a split of any kind? The skirt is a long calf length almost ankle length. It does have buttons up the front which stay closed per my wife.
I have selected trouser socks because of them being cooler to wear and yet heavy enough to hide my hairy legs. I do wear thigh highs around the house, but they have this strange hairy leg look to them.... Yuk Yuk Yuk.
And Yes I thought of getting some neutral or brown colored flats, but my wife said black... so black I got. I just hope she thinks they are ok as all of my going out clothes must pass her more fashionable eye. I have the fashion sense of a guy. I wonder why.....

I was going to take a picture of the outfit and include it, but my son must have the camera again. He has his own, but you would not know it by as much as he uses ours.
PS: You can give me as much of a hard time as you want. We are cders and if we can not have some fun with it we better go back to self acceptance 101.
Working through things with my wife has not been easy, but it is alot better than ignoring it and hiding it from her. And she may not like my femme characteristics coming out looking femme at time, but she knows it is better that having me bottle them up.

Hi, Kimberly!
I'm surprised you didn't compare the size of the flowers to drill bits, hole saws, or socket wrenches - and I would have understood those comparisons as I know my way around 'the tools' too!!
The color of the blouse being a white/cream color, even if it's mostly covered with those flowers, tend to make it more a summery outfit. A darker color, in general, is more for fall/winter wear. The hose color would affect how the outfit looks overall given the time of year it's being worn.
Calf-length denim skirt with a button front? Hmmm, it still might have a tendency to gap open at the very bottom (between the last button and the hem) and see those hairy Sasquatch legs of yours.
It's too bad Kaye(SO) won't let you shave the legs, she's missing out on a very sensuous and sexy feeling, IMHO!
Okay, the Sasquatch legs are reason enough to wear the trouser socks as opposed to thigh highs or pantyhose. The suntan color would be more 'summery', or even a taupe or coffee color, instead of black. Nude or pink trouser socks as Donna suggests? Hmmm, might work if it covers up the hair!
"Fashion sense of a guy" - Hmph!! I know some hetero non-CD's who have wonderful fashion sense, and they're not models, either!
Life in general is so much better if you can learn to laugh at yourself!!
I know that Kaye(SO) and yourself have been working through things and doing quite well, and that says quite a lot about both of you - the art of communication and compromise, seasoned heavily with love and understanding.
I'd love to see a pic of you in this outfit - provided you can get the camera back from your son!!

Donna, sorry I did not get all of your questions answered last night. I agree that hose or thigh highs are a better fashion option or just go bare legs, but they are not an option for covering up my leg hair. I do have some black opaque thigh highs, but still need to wear aother pair under to keep the hair tamed down and not sticking out all over. And two pair would really be hot. My darn hairy German blood. Even the gals in our family are hairy. So yes even some GG's have hairy arms. But theirs is a bit finer and not so long.
SilverLady, Unless I find the camera somewhere I have not looked yet it will be after the coming weekend before I get it back. And then also when I can get some time to lay it out and take a snap shot. It may be a month before I get a picture. My wife and kids are at her parents for the week. Thus the reason I am getting some Kimmy time at nights. And I am going to need it, because then I will have a week and a half with the family in a van. Actually we have pretty good kids, so it will mostly be just the normal travel stress. And vacations are suppose to be relaxing right.
