What shape for breast forms.

Post by Ann Stef »

On a large frame person, a "D" cup is more approprieate. The breast forms should be wide, about 6" across to make the appearance that it goes under the arms a bit. This is common with "plus" size ladies.

What you don't want is 2 pyramids juting out in the dessert. What blends in is a gentle mountain range blending in to the back. Check out some of the plus size ladies.
Happiness is dressing to your innermost desire and feeling.

Correct Ann, all breast tissue wraps under the arm. Just the larger the breast the more that goes around under the arm.

Hi Girls:

The posted link takes you to a page that will show you a very high quality, well bio-engineered breast form. I use the GL2000N series, assymmetrical, now for the past 10 years. These forms like all silicone forms of quality manufacture, are encapsulated with a double-poly wall to ensure longevity. They will last about 4 years if worn everyday and washed appropriate with mild baby soap if worn against the body. I solved this a little by using a bra with a full cotton pocket that the form fits into correctly. I can get 5 years out of a pair that way and less need for washing all the time. "Body acidity will break down the poly material if left on the form all the time. With the pocket bra they of course still wrinkle as would be expected.

Thus, the cotton is against the skin vs. the form, which would be as in a natural breast. So you do not build up moisture as you do with the non-breathing silicone against the natural breathing skin.

The form by it's very nature, being suspended in a bra but free from the chest is being pulled downward by gravity, "aren't we all,"   so, the form's "skin" sags and wrinkles after about 2 years. If you just leave them in the original box and go back two years later and check, they will now have natural wrinkles in the encapsulating poly as one would expect. A natural depreciation process that keeps the buying cycle going.

The GL2000N addresses all woman basically by picking the right size of course, but in the engineering they have taken into account the form of the chest and the typical bra. The enlarged photo will explain better than words the use of not one, but two extension flaps for the top chest curve and the all important "under arm" curve and fit.

In my honest opinion there are others out there similar, but this particular model type and distributor have been very reasonable in price and consistent quality control of their product. The price has not changed since January 2000.

It is not unusual to find the Medical community providing this form for [GG] woman after a mastectomy (they dbl the price...shame on them). The back of the form is slightly hollowed out for any existing breast tissue and the design was engineered to fit this specific medical consideration.

I also use the "Super Gel" forms which are much cheaper and do not wrinkle over time so far, (1 year), they are firmer and less fluid-like, "no jiggle," also they have only the one tap like the GL3000N symetrical form.

You get what you pay for girls! Most of the time.

P.S. The weight distribution of the GL2000N and fluid-like movement are as close to the natural breast as any I have seen. Super Gel forms permit the use of make-up on them where on silicone, the make-up fails to stick to the poly surface. Super Gels are a complete gel form and no need for any covering thus the lack of jiggle, but weight distribution is very good. They get to feel tacky after washing but a little baby powder on them and they feel slick and smooth again. Can be washed over and over. Tacky feeling gives a slightly better contact with the skin than silicone but still there is the "breathing problem" with the gel material as one would expect.

Hugs
