re new nails

Post by JaimieP »

Ladies I have to say with gigglesa that my nails are growing finally, and I am having a ball with them, even though they get in the way sometimes. So if I hit to many letters while typing you'll understand I am sure. I have been using hardener on them lately and shaping them what a blast. Haven't been gutsy enough to color them. Can I color over the hardener? jaimiep
I complained because I had no shoes

JaimieP just wait until you try to get into you wallet to get coins out.

Long nails you really have to get use to. (--)

I will probably get into trouble with the gg's but........... what I do is depending on if I am going out clubbing or to a party, or dinner or what. Anyway, I put two coats of Sally Hansen "Salon" nail care Nail Growth Protein, making sure that the first coat is very dry before I put on the second. After that I put on a coat of Sally Hansen, "Maximum Growth" Nourishing Nail Color. If I am "en drab" a light pink will suffice. If I am going out to clubbing or dinner party, etc. After the second coat of Growth Protein is dry I will put on a coat of some type of hardener, once it is dry then I put on the glue-on nails. I have the best luck with Revlon's.

What I have found is if you use Revlon's polish remover for false nails, then trim them back to a shorter length, they will eventually come off or you can force them off without much if any damage to your natural nails. I usually get three to four days wear out of the glue ons before they start coming loose. Then take a good polish remover and get the old growth/protein stuff off and start all over.

If you are fortunate enough to have good, solid nails consider yourself lucky! I don't, so I have to go to somewhat extremes.

Of course the alternative is the nail salon. Around here a nice set of silk wraps without polish is about $30.00.

Good luck and let us know what you are doing with your nails.

Oh, Denae Doyle says that since "our" hands are in a lot of instances, the big "giveaway" since they tend to be larger, that you don't want to draw anymore attention to them than necessary. No rings or polish or whatever, but I find that with the use of nicely shaped longer nails (not talons or claws) but well manicured, and appropriately polished and some rings, it can make your fingers look longer and slimmer ------- just this girl's findings. :-k
