I usually buy Sears' brand, Nice Touch, they're durable, come in a wide range of sizes/colors, and Sears usually has a buy three get one free special on them, that apply to all of them across their styles.

I like George Thigh highs which I get at Wal Mart. They have lots of nice larger sizes. I don't wear pantyhose.

Don't laugh, but I've found K-Mart ph and thigh-highs to be incredibly durable. They may not be the sheerest or sexiest, but they wear very well and don't seem to run as easily as more expensive brands. What I really wish is that more places (or even some places!) would carry stockings. I'm often a girdle or garter belt kind of girl.

I find Hanes Reflection wear very well and if you shave your thighs they stay up very well. Don't care for pantyhose at all

I wear Silkies Control Top myself. They are cheaper than L'EGGS and I have found them to be much more durable. You can find them at http://www.silkies.com

I wear the bras and panties so she doesn't have to.

Target, and now WalMart, Meijer, and other stores, carry the Vassarette brand of stockings and garter belts. They are an excellent product (I prefer their pantyhose), and their prices are reasonable, too.

I wear mostly Hanes, Fredricks and lately sometimes Calvin Klein. I can find most of these brands at various outlet stores.
