On the news

I think it was Fox News today, Wednesday, but I am not sure, I was somewhat distracted, but the blond anchorette had a blond Dr. on and the Dr. was criticizing the moisturizers that we use. She said, as most of us know, that the skin is the largest organ in the body and is the most obvious candidate for mistreatment and a lot of these lotions that we put on our skin to "moisturize" it can be dangerous up to the point of (based on some studies she referred to) can cause various cancers. THAT IS SCARY.
The anchorette could not contain herself in wanting to know the DR.'s secret as she was a real looker. First she said the first rule of thumb is if you won't or can't eat it don't put it on your skin.
She recommended two natural oils: Sunflower oil that you get in the grocery store and Olive Oil is also good. But she said any natural oil that can be used for cooking is good.
I have tried Olive oil and it does work, however after 3-4 days your body begins to generate an odor equivalent to ---- well to be politically correct --- olive oil!
I am going to try the sunflower oil and possibly coconut oil, safflower oil maybe even peanut oil - well, I don't want to smell like Jimmy Carter
, however - sorry 'bout that, but I could not resist - How about Mr. Peanut?
Motor oil even used (i.e., recycling) just because it comes out of the ground, I think I will pass on that one.
I will let you know how the others work.
Love,
Virginia
