If you really want waist control a corset is the way to go.

I have a rago waist cincher with garters. Sometimes I like it, however if my back is sore it makes it hurt more. Probably lessens blood flow to somewhere.

I have used waist cinchers on occasion and have some in several colors. Though they are not as restrictive as full lace up corsets, they do a good job for taking off 2 -3 inches temporarily. Like a corset, they also help create the feminine figure from the side by kinda pushing out ones butt, and encourage a more erect lady like posture (shoulders back, stand tall, chin up).
I usually use them with a fitted dress or a kinda slim cut pants suit. They can be relatively comfortable so long as you do not seek to create a reduction of more than 3 inches in the waist. They can make your back hurt then. Also restrict excercise, as in set ups or others that need a freedom of movement for the spine. I have worn one all day (9 hour days) for a week for a special circumstance, removing it with great gratitude in the evening while preparing for bed.
Another temporary benefit is curtailing the amount one eats. You can actually see the results on the scale after a week or so. Oh, that reminds me, make sure you wear it at where your girl waist should be. If too low, and worn too tight or too long, it can help create a hiatal hernia from pushing your tum up into the base of your esophagus, and promote heartburn if you eat too much while wearing one.

I have a couple waist clinchers but nothing beats a good corset imho.. They are so good at giving you a more hour glassish figure than anything out there.. And they feel amazing on!

I need one , but can't seem to find one that comes up high enough. The ones I have roll down after extended wear.

I bought an over bust civil war era replica corset and it does not have that problem at all.. Since you have shoulder straps it stays up and the metal stays keep it from rolling... It also nice since it has laces and front clasps.. Makes it easier to get into and out of.. But then again once you put iton you won't want to take it off... Wore mine for 2 straight weeks once!!! Check out Wicked Reds web site or her sales on ebay.. Sheryl is sweet and always throws in some extra with every order.

She has nice things at good prices.. I've bought 2 corsets and a couple girdles from here.. She's really helpful if you have any questions at all and she doesn't care what gender you are.
