Wearing glasses as a disguise

Well okay disguise is the wrong word but I was considering getting a pair of low magnification glasses to wear when Cindy goes out. I got the idea from my wife who wears glasses and noticed how different she looked when she doesn't have them on.

My thoughts and hopes are that they will change my appearance enough that I won't be recognised while out. Is this just a silly idea? what do you girls think? this is where I need some input.

As always love to all,
CL

I've actually got a couple different pairs of 'girl glasses', in my prescription as well as my dude specs. I got them from Zennioptical.com, pretty reasonable on their prices too.

So, yeah. They do change your appearance to a point, I'd say.

I reckon we'd a couple of pictures to compare, but, yea, glasses usually do make a difference.

I don't think magnification glasses are a good idea, however. They could ruin your eyesight.

I need reading glasses and I have both female and male styles. They do change my appearance a bit, because they tend to obscure the eyes, when seen by others and draw attention to other facial features.

Ohh yeah!! Womans glasses are so fem!! I have a couple pair including a pink pair and I bought 2 pair of unisex trifocal glasses that I can wear in either mode... Plus I have a couple pairs of over sized fem sun glasses... The bigger the better, imho.. Glasses are just fun!

Thanks for the input girls, I already use a pair of 1X for painting really tiny figures and can wear them without any eyestrain. I'm going to pick up some femme style glasses and some sunglasses while I'm there.

Love to all,

I wear ladies perscription lenses & frames, glasses can be a terrific fashion asset. I've bought only ladies for years. 8)

I am wearing prescription glasses because I am very nearsighted.
I love the retro glasses and in my avatar I have a set of large glasses.
I do buy a lot on ebay with my prscription lenses installed and have a lot of different styles to different clothes and wigs. I sort of enjoy playing with the glasses. On eay they are inexpensive too.
And I have met people I know in town and they could not recognize me.

So far my having a fur face as a guy then shaving it off hasn't made me different enough. Going from not much hair on my head to a full frothy do hasn't made enough difference. My fem glasses are definitely fem, but they don't seem to distract people from recognizing me.

I guess gone are the days when Superman just had to don glasses as Clark Kent to go about in disguise. I don't think, based on my luck, that glasses can make enough difference when face to face with a friend.

Now with all that said, I like my fem glasses; they are just that much more for me to make a fashion statement. :)

I recently had to get some prescription glasses,I had been having some problems seeing up close. So when I was offered bi-focals I jumped at the chance and decided to get a second, femme pair.It was one of my better decisions.I look a lot different from my male self when wearing them.My confidence level has gone up as I feel safer due to being less recognizable. In my mind anyway.

When I am in male mode I wear bifocals. When I go out as Carolyn I don't wear my glasses. I bought a fem pair of reading glasses that I wear when needed. Seeing at a distance is not sharp but not a great problem.

When I was shopping at the grocery store I would see friends I have known for 30 years walk right past me without recognizing me and I wasn't wearing glasses. Even my older sister and her husband went down the same isle of the grocery store and didn't recognize me.

Now I admit I did not engage them in conversation or do anything to draw attention, but I have wondered if I had said something would they have known it was me.

Maybe worring about being recognized when enfemme is given more concern than is warranted.
