Check this out..... How do you like this trend? Knitted stockings from Miu Miu's pre-Fall 2010 collection..... They do look warm but with pink heels? and how do you get your feet in the shoes? Wonder if they make a knitted garter belt? lol

Not really feeling the whole "grandmother's bedsheets wrapped around the legs" thing there.

Actually I don't mind the look that much its just how the heck did she get her feet into those shoes?? I'd have to go out and buy larger heels because they just fir with nylons on..

I have a few pair of knitted stockings, not that style but the same idea. They are quite warm when wearing a skirt outside in the winter, and with the right skirt and boots they can be quite cute. I agree that they really don't go with those shoes.
The big problem I have is keeping them up, they always slip down. The garter belts I have can't deal with a stocking that thick, so I'm looking for some solution. Maybe duct tape?

I have a couple of pair of cable knit tights (pantyhose) that are quite thick. I only wear them in extremely cold weather and I have to wear some of my wider width shoes with them.

I like the look, but I'd have to lose twenty years to be able to wear them. I don't think they have a diet for that...

I just bought 2 more pair of sweater tights from Hue. They are very nice really, they go well with a wool skirt and a wool dress that I have, and are perfect now that winter is coming.

Not sure I like the knited stockings, I think cable tights are quite a different look, but...I love the plaid suit

I bet you'd like them pretty well if you were wearing a short skirt when it's 10 below
The cable tights are nice too, I have a few pair of them as well. Really it all depends on the rest of the outfit. They are not really feminine looking, but they go well with sweaters and plaid skirts, for the sort of scottish winter look.
