Your experience with lash growth products?

Post by Karren Hutton »

A few years ago I tried Ardell Brow and Lash Growth with no success at all... But earlier this year I started using L'oreal new Lash Boosting Serum ($12 at CVS) and I have been amazed!! Using it twice a day, after 4 weeks I started to see growth and by 6 weeks it was very noticeable... I took photos every week just to make sure I wasn't seeing anything... With mascara on it is like... "wow... those are really mine?" I'm just about ready to throw away all my false eye lashes... I still use it 5 times a week... a tube last 2 to 3 months for me.

There are other products out there like Revitalash and prescription Latisse both of which are very expensive....

So what have you tried and what are your experiences with lash growth serums?

I have glaucoma and I use an eyedrop called Xalatan (Xz-al-a-tan) to control the pressure. A side effect of the chemicals includes making lashes longer, and a bit thicker. Latisse is this chemical, and yes that chemical does work to make lashes longer and slightly darkens the color of some peoples eyes (mine are just a bit more brilliant blue), but since it is a pharaceutical product, I guess it does cost more.

If the L'oreal lash boost serum works, then that is much superior to the Latissse in price and all.

Mine are naturally long. And they droop. Not even an eyelash curler can get them up. So I doubt I'll be looking to lengthen them using any growth enhancers. I'd end up with curtains in front of my eyes. 8)

Probably doesn't work as good but I will take half the growth at one tenth the price any day!!

I started to use baby shampoo on my eye lashes eight weeks ago. They are defintely thicker and only slightly longer. Baby shampoo is really cheap too.
