Well that didn't work.

I've just changed my avater to a photo I took the other week during a quick session while my wife was out. I didn't bother digging out a wig and went for a lighter more natural makeup look with medium and pale grey eyeshadow, light on the eyebrow pencil and mascara and one of my wifes lighter plum lipsticks.

Now you can barely see any makeup at all. Oh bugger, back to the drawing board.

Isn't that the general idea, getting it just right that it's not noticeable?

I completely agree. Subtlety is important, and the ideal isn't makeup that jumps out at you but rather something that enhances your appearance without becoming a distraction.

Thanks ladies. It's just that in "real life" the makeup is on the light side and I guess that I'm not used to the low def of the webcam.

I might have another go with the DSLR and better lighting. But that can wait until my wife is out of hospital.

love and hugs to all
