Here's a way-out, wacko, and weird suggestion: Make a list of what's missing and/or wrong with each piece hanging in your closet. Then go out and buy those tights, or the necklace and earrings, or scarf, or shoes.
That is an excellent suggestion Caith, and really I've been trying to do that. But what happens is that I go to find a top that matches a skirt I have, for example, and I can't find a nice top but I buy three more skirts instead. Or, I don't find the top that matches the skirt, but I find 4 other tops that I really like that don't match anything else that I have. Or, I finally get the top, the skirt, the tights, and the shoes all together and then the weather is wrong.
But just recently I've discovered the power of the bodice, or body suit. These are great, they can go under a dress, with a sweater, a sleeveless top, anything. They can be casual and formal, for summer or winter, everything. I need to get a few more, and then my problems will be solved (until tomorrow)
