I have been nervous of leggings, as so often I fear that they look awful. Unless you have good legs they can show up every extra ripple of unwanted flesh, many a GG who wears them really shouldn't. However I have succumbed, recently a couple of very nice tunics fell into my possession, a little too short to wear as dresses at my age, but too long to wear with a skirt. I very much wanted to wear these so it was either wear them over jeans or get some leggings, as it is currently very hot here I have opted for the leggings with some low heel calf boots. Depending on the weather I shall be wearing this combination out towards the end of next week, if it gets hotter I will be in a summer weight dress or skirt, if colder then the tunic and leggings will still work OK.

Leggings are one item of fashion I hate loathe and detest in any shape or form. I will definitely not be adopting them

Leggings are one of the worst pieces of clothing that I have ever seen worn outside of the gym/fitness center (unless you're a runner/jogger) - I think they look absolutely hideous (as does the wearer) when they are worn 'main stream' . . . and you'll never see this GG wearing them (not even at the gym)! It's not the leggings that are so hideous, it's the contents that are supposed to be properly covered but so many women don't seem to care about. A shapely leg is still a shapely leg in leggings, but if that girl hasn't got a tushy or has a couple of them, then cover it up! Myself, I have done leggings and I believe I have the legs for them. Not quite sure of my tushy and so it was covered. Now what makes leggings not such a good idea for me, is my tummy. Go figure.

Leggings are fine if you're built for them, but all the wrong people are the ones wearing them.

Since I don't wear anything in front of anyone, I buy what I think I'd like. I got some spandex leggings with zip up ankles. It's all good

I wear male long johns all winter long. Except sometimes I wear leggings under my jeans which serve the same function.

In female mode I wear leggings in stead of stockings in the winter, usually under a long skirt, because it's warmer and less hassle.

I have great legs, so I suppose if I went out the leggings would look okay. Can't say the same about various other parts.

Leggings look good on attractive women. Not so good on unattractive women. Then there is the vast majority of women (and men) who look attractive when they dress in certain ways and unattractive in clothing schemes. But IMHO opinon I have no business judging other peoples attractiveness, even if I do.

you can see what I think by looking at the Photo Gallery I'm not sure that I am young enough to wear this, erm, tunic other than with leggings.

maybe this is just being picky about terminology, but I don't see any significant difference between leggings and some of the heavier tights. In particular, I have quite a few pairs of sweater tights which I like in the winter. A few are even footless, which makes them essentially identical to leggings. But somehow wearing only tights with a tunic seems insufficient, but call them leggings and then it's OK.
Even though I think the look is good, I don't think I would do it. I at least want a skirt, otherwise I will feel like my butt is hanging out.
