What are your favorite sandals this summer?

Open toe, closed toe, gladiator, platform, kitten heel?

Living in Southern California, sandals are my main shoes. Only in the winter rainy season do I wear closed toe shoes. I don't have any gladiator sandals because I just don't like the style. But other than that, I have about every other style of sandals. Some high heels, some low heels, some platform and some wedge in all sorts of colors and designs.

Yeppers to comfortable. I have too many to even think I have a favorite sandal. Oh wait; it's wedges I only have one pair of fem sandals that are the "standard" definition. I have heels that are called sandals, but I digress.

Not A great one for snadals, but I have a pair of white leather sling backs witha sort of woven effect made up of narrow leather strips across the front, making them toesless as well. They look great, but after only a few minutes walking they rub up badly so I just can't wear them. I also have a pair of black wedge heeled gladiator style, but best of all classic black and white sling back peep toe toe inch heel Hush Puppies that look great and a very comfortable. (wearing them now!)

Ok, next is sandal straps. Why are the buckles so hard to reach and get fastened? Is this why gg's become so flexible?

Ok, I figured it out, if one is careful, one can adjust the strap to a correct buckle hole once then carefully slip in and out of the rear strap. This way you don't have to keep trying to do the tiny buckles every time, contorting to do so.

I hate dealing with the straps too. I have almost learned to buckle them without actually seeing what I'm doing. Then I come across a pair where the darn straps can't seem to line up the pokey thing with the holes.

I don't quite understand why some guy would design the straps to be that way then not be hanging out at DSW or off Broadway to watch us showing our pretties trying to get our legs and hands lined up to get the buckles done. If no one is looking, I will put my foot up on the benches and that makes buckling the shoes so much easier.

Dom and I agree no straps slid on toeless for the most in comfort,leave the strapies for pretty sundresses.

You can't beat Birkenstock. If only I did not have Morton's in both feet (post surgery). Women's Shoes kill me. Tried that and just did not work for me. But hey love to seem them wearing them!

Which ever ones I can find that fit LOL. My white ones that I just got with about a 1 in cork heel.

now that I'm in Phoenix for a while I'm wearing sandals quite a lot.
unfortunately I don't have many nice ones (only 4 or 5) and there is nowhere around here that has nice shoes. OK. I know that I'm spoiled from buying my shoes in Bulgaria, but one would think that in this entire city one could find something other than cheap plastic junk...arghhhh
but I did get some nice shoes a while back in Prescott made by SAS that I really like. the only problem is that they didn't have any heels, but otherwise they are nice.
